I can comment only on the restaurant at Vincent's as I have not stayed in the guest-house.
Vincent's is easily overlooked in a very busy soi (street) about 10 minutes walk from the nearest Metro and more or less opposite the Pinnacle Hotel; but I have eaten here many times in recent years and can recommend the freshly-cooked Thai cuisine: ideal for a light lunch or dinner. Breakfasts are also available to non-residents but note that Vincent's is closed on Sundays!
The restaurant itself is small and intimate. This is a gay-friendly establishment and staff are courteous, if sometimes a little laid back. But what the hell, this is Thailand! Vincent himself is usually on-hand, keeping an eye on things and ensuring that customers are happy. For smokers, there is a pleasant sheltered courtyard adjoining the main restaurant.
I always enjoy my visits to Vincent's when I am in the Sathorn/ Silom district of Bangkok and suggest it is well worth exploring. I understand from residents that the guest-house is comfortable and represents good value.
