At over 3 kilometers and 26 platforms, it is the longest in Thailand. Nestled between the Chompoo Wildlife Sanctuary and the Khao Kheo Open Safari, this canopy tour lies in the heart of Thailand's best natural settings. The site will allow visitors to experience the majesty of the forest while engaging in fun, low environmental-impact activities. « less

“Awesome experience, must do!!”

We took our kids (8, 6 yrs) to experience Flight of the Gibbon and Go Gibbon - it was an awesome experience....We so loved it!!

Thank you so much Nui, Runi and Jit for taking care of us -- My daughter dropped her cap midway into the trees and Jit retrieved it. My kids enjoyed Nui's company and wanted to zip tandem with him and he readily complied and added much to their fun factor. The guides constantly checked for safety and had really good communication, thus enabling us to feel we were in very experienced hands.

Fortunately we live near enough in Singapore and are looking forward to visiting the Flight of the Gibbon again soon!

“Do it... even if you are scared.”

I was very reluctant to do this, as I am scared of heights, but my husband really wanted to go and I had some friends that had been ziplining before and they encouraged me to go. I am so glad I went. I will say, the first couple times were quite scary, and I did need some nudging, but there is nothing like it. It was a great day in the rainforest, such an experience being up so high above the tree tops. Safety is definitely a priority here. You also get a voucher for a free souvenier/t-shirt, etc. Another nice touch.

Before heading up to zipline, we were brough to the 'open zoo'. I don't remember the actual name, but it was really cool - I would go back there just for the zoo. If we return to Thailand, we would definitely bring our little ones. There are animals running around and others that are fenced in, but very accessible for feeding and touching. Very fun!

“Not picked up”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 18, 2011

Today is my last day in Bangkok. I decided that I wanted to do something exciting and after reading all the positive reviews on tripadvisor I decided to book at flight of the gibbon. Because of both the weather and my flight leaving in the afternoon, I decided to book the early tour (leaving the Ariyasom Villa at 6.30). I woke up at 5.00, arrived at the villa and waited for the van to pick me up (I was told that the van had not yet arrived). However the van never showed up. At 6.45 someone from the service desk at the villa called Flight of the Gibbon; the said they were very sorry (which of course was Thai for saying that they were not planning to pick me up). I asked them how we would solve this and they offered me the option to 1) wait for the 8.30 pickup or 2) return the day after. Both options were impossible given my flight in the afternoon.

we went for the "go gibbon" experience in a group. We drove by ourselves fron bangkok . after check in we went in their vehicle to the starting point which is a 20 min drive.
the guides were good but after we finished there was no vehicle to drop us back and they we not bothered. We waited for 90 mins.
Even after giving them a piece of my mind they had no info as to when we could have our lunch.
i feel there is no coordination amongst them

“exciting but touristy”

While the ziplining was exciting, the tour is totally geared towards tourists, and doesn't provide anything in terms of a Thai cultural experience. As a Thai speaker, I picked up on a few things. First, at every point along the way (registration, orientation, ziplining, lunch), the staff made sure to pass the word that there was a Thai speaker present - maybe they make jokes about the foreigners or complain more if no one can understand them. Also, the actual guides are really low-paid, despite the high cost of the trip. They told me that if they are really busy and get asked to do an additional 3 hour tour, they only get paid 65 baht extra (about $2). I would still recommend it, but think it would be better if the staff were paid more and there were more of a cultural aspect to the trip somehow.
