Very clean hotel, friendly staff, good breakfast included, nice but little rooms, bathroom is really nice and the shower is top. Nearby everything like restaurants, bars, shopping, skytrain. And very quite street, no noice from the entertainment. Will go back next time.

Location: Just outside Nana Station if you use the BTS/ Sky line 'very affordable' and a daily travel card can be purchased. It beats getting ripped off by the tuk drivers, which were the least favourite people on this trip. Also based next door (main entrance) is a bar, although not much was available from the menu on soft drinks.

Accommodation: Very clean, chic and a nice touch that a cafe is located on the ground floor. Interesting idea of the card in the room with the option to purchase any of the items in the room, wondered if this an option to deter hotel thieves. The room was located on the 2nd floor with no windows (which was okay) and air con is not something that is favoured by me either. A loud guest was next door, and their skype conversation was overheard, maybe thin walls. Breakfast was enjoyable, but they could add a herbal tea to the choice. Dressing gown and sleepers were also provided in the room (very cosy).

Facilities: They provided two laptops in the lobby for guest to use the internet. This was great and it saved the trouble of going to the internet cafe usually about 1 baht per minute with a minimum fee. They also offered laundry services e.t.c but chose to get done locally. No way as cheap as the Islands 44 baht a kilo (Bangkok 120/180 baht per kilo).

Staff: There was a slight problem with a early arrival to the Hotel, but before leaving the Hotel the member of staff apologised and the Hotel Manager Prakit Kaewjinda was able to resolve the issue. This really shows that there is support if any problems do arise on your stay. The staff have a relatively nice uniform, they were also polite and helpful.

Not to far from the shopping centre.

I would definitely visit again

The other reviews have it about right - good location for shopping, restaurants and access to the BTS. Even an interior room with no windows was comfortable and well-designed. Excellent breakfast, good coffee and helpful staff. Strong, reliable wifi in rooms, safe deposit box, good shower. A fine choice for the price point.

On 8 has two major assets:
1. Location
There is only one way to get around Bangkok. Take the Skytrain (BTS); it is cheap and fast, it zips over the congestion below. The cabs are relatively inexpensive, but it doesn’t matter with Bangkok’s traffic since they can’t move anyway. The Nana Skytrain station escalator is at the hotel’s backdoor.

There are two hotel entrances, one off Soi 8 and one right on Sukhumvit. Which brings me to the remodel. They pushed their restaurant back into the lobby and now you walk through a tailor’s shop (at the Sukhumvit entrance) to get to the lobby. Clearly this is a friendly agreement, since no one from the shop seems to mind you passing through and they don’t hustle you to buy a suit either. But the fun street views from the restaurant are gone.

2. The Staff. Most
Thais are unfailingly gracious and friendly, so the fact that so many people like this group speaks to the service they provide. Returning visitors are greeted with genuine enthusiasm. Can’t figure out your Thai phone? Need a doc printed? Want directions printed in Thai, for the taxi driver? They act pleased that you asked for their help.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a window. Like many city-boutique hotels they are wedged in a space with other b...

After doing quite a bit of research on Trip Advisor on hotels in the Sukhumvit area, I chose to go with On8, and I Loved it!
I got down from the Nana station and walked into a corridor that led me to the cafe of On8, and once I entered, it was like a whole new world! The hotel is well designed and the architect has certainly done a good job in utilising the space and designing the hotel.
I chose to go with the larger sized rooms for a few extra bucks. Yes, the windows cannot be opened, but who opens them in an air conditioned room anyway!

I landed in Bangkok in the early hours of the morning and was wondering how to kill time till 2PM as the general check in time in most hotels is 2 PM. But I decided to head directly to the hotel and they offered me a room! Extremely kind of them.

However I did feel that the air conditioner in the room did not cool well, but within 5 minutes they shifted me to another room. No questions asked. I think this is a fantastic gesture to make sure guests are comfortable and not inconvenienced during their stay.
The bathrooms are simple and elegant. Im a huge fan of spacious bathrooms and On8 had it just perfect.

I wish they had a slightly bigger spread on the breakfast menu, but Ive got nothing to complain. They make fantastic eggs and you can choose from a list.
I found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and also helped in arranging a couple of day trips for me.

Overall, my stay was simply perfect at this hotel. Couldn't have asked for more. The location, the staff, the rooms, everything went right for me.

This is definitely going to be my hotel of choice for my upcoming trips to Bangkok. Special thanks to Mr.Pong and his team! Hope to return next year for my annual shopping!

Room Tip: I haven't seen the other rooms, but the bigger rooms are recommended.

Location: Fantastic. Right beside Nana station. Minimal walking. There's some street food around the area, don't have to worry about hunger.

Room: Spacious. We booked the Saffron room directly from their website and requested for King bed. We called the hotel to confirm everything, including the bed. To our surprise, the "King" bed is made up of two twin beds. When checking with the front desk, they couldn't offer us any Saffron rooms with King bed. Felt this is quite dishonest for $110sgd a night. Could've stayed elsewhere.

Service: Only Pup is helpful in answering our queries, trying to find us a new room and recommending reliable massage for us. The other male staff during the day is unfriendly, impatient and unhelpful.

Overall: For $110sgd a night, I'll rather stay at Legacy Express. It's almost the same as On8 and also under Compass Hospitality but much cheaper with better service. It's comfortable but not worth the money. And having stayed at several Compass Hospitality hotels, this is DISAPPOINTING. I don't see why it's got such good reviews.

Apart from the location, there's nothing to rave about.
