5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2013

Price wise have compared with many nearby hotels in same range boutique hotel 3.5 star we believe this S Sukhumvit Suites is very reasonable in price and has fantastic location a minute walk from MTR ( Underground Train ) Sukhumvit Station and 3 minutes walk from the BTS ( Sky Train ) Asoke Station . Staff are very polite and friendly and very helpful in all departments like House Keeping , Front Reception as well as in Restaurant .

Room Tip: Deluxe Rooms are more spacious than Superior

Booked 2 rooms for a 3 nights stay in Dec 2013. We booked through booking.com and each room (exclude breakfast) cost about 1800 baht per night.

THE GOOD
Location - walking distance to both Asoke BTS and Sukhumvit MRT. Convenient especially if you will be using the BTS/MRT frequently.

Walking distance to Terminal 21. The food court Pier 21 in this building sells good food at cheap prices.

Room - clean but very small

THE BAD
Toilet - water pressure and temperature inconsistent. It floods when showering as the water does not flow out to the floor trap and the toilet smells of sewage.

Room - very poor soundproofing, can hear the guests next door talking/laughing/moaning as well as the traffic from the main road. Light sleepers will have a problem getting a good night's sleep.

Free wifi in room is nonexistent. You have to go to the lobby to have a working connection.

Verdict - will not be my choice again for my next Bangkok visit.
There are plenty of hotels at similar price range with good location.

Once again at my go to hotel. There have been some expansion and some alterations, but amazingly the hotel still exceeds the norm. Great staff in all deparents, especially we'll run front desk. The restaurant is now expanded and becoming a gray place to 'hang out'. The food is very good quality, the waiters are super. The only downside is the restaurant captain who tends to guess what I order rather than listening, might just be me, but the language problem is a shame as the ret of the team speak good English. This remains my favorite hotel in Bangkok, great comfort and great price.

It was our first trip to Thailand and our criteria for a hotel was a spacious, comfortable room, with good access to both MRT, BTS and Airport rail link. We didn't plan to spend our time at a swimming pool or fitness center in the hotel, but rather be out and about, seeing what Bangkok has to offer. I used TA to search for hotels and this one ticked all the boxes. We made the reservation through the hotels website and opted for the double deluxe room as the standard rooms are quite small. The room was clean, large bed with comfy mattress, and enough space for us to sprawl across the room. The bathroom was clean and modern.Rooms were cleaned to a high standard. No surprises here, what you see is what you get.On the website it inquires what kind of room you would like, where I selected a room away from the corridor on a higher floor, but on arrival we were allocated a room on the ground floor; the first next to the dining room. Even considering this, we had lots of peace and quiet and minimal noise disturbance. The staff were kind and very helpful.I would recommend this hotel to others

Room Tip: You can hear some noise in the first room on the ground floor, mostly in the morning during breakfas...

This hotel is located just next to asok bts and sukhumvit mrt, and the best thing is they are linked by a sheltered walkway. The same sheltered walkway is also linked to Terminal 21, a mall which me and my gf liked a lot. The mall is clean and it has everything that a regular mall has such as restaurants, food court, cinema, grocery shop, pharmacy, etc. Location wise this hotel is really very good as it's at the center of the city and most places that we visited such as platinum mall, Siam paragon, Siam square etc are just 2-3 stops mrt away.
The hotel staffs are quite nice too, well that applies to most but not not all of them. I didn't like the lady at the reception as I felt that she's abit snobbish and abit of the heck care type. The rest of them are nice. One even talked us through the tourist attractions and how to get there. Overall good service except for one black sheep.
The room is nice too in my opinion. It's quite spacious, clean, and it looked new and modern. There is a mini fridge, safe, and two 3 pin plug switches in it. Don't get me wrong here. There are actually many 3 pin plug switches around, at least 6 of them but only 2 of them can be used with singapore/ Malaysia kind of 3 pin plug. For the rest of them u will need a universal adapter, at least for my case.
Sleep quality is no good in my opinion. The room's noise insulation is so so so bad! U can hear people walking on the corridor, hear what people are talking outside, and even if the doorbell next to room, or 2 rooms away rings it sounded like urs is ringing. Yes it's really that bad. If you're a light sleeper I will really not recommend you this hotel, unless you don't mind waking up every few hours or so due to the noise made by others around ur room. Good thing is the bed is really comfortable and nice. But I really dislike that it has wheels in it which doesn't lock well. If you were to lean on the head rest while sitting on the bed, the bed will just move forward.

Room Tip: they have all types of rooms - Superior , Deluxe as well as Suites you may choose any roms which is...

The hotel asked me to review my initial review as they felt like it jeopardized their reputation. Who doesn't accept constructive feedback? Apparently this hotel doesn't! This hotel is right in the middle of he city, two mins away from train station, shopping mall and taxis. However as a consequence it is noisy all night and we didn't sleep well with the trains going past, cars going past, whistles blowing, people coming and going to their rooms. If you're used to noise it will be ok. Our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was generous and the breakfast egg chef was nice and bubbly. In the evening we went to the bar to have some drinks. We wanted to start off by using our free drink voucher and sitting outside to watch the city. The wait staff said it was fine but were then told by their supervisor that we were not allowed and that we had to sit in the restaurant and drink. We assume this is because they wanted us to dine there as they asked if we would like to see the menu 3 times in the space of ten minutes, although we had already explained that we had eaten. We left and had drinks elsewhere where we could drink where we liked. An average hotel, could be worse.
