“Good and convenient hotel close to airport. Great Service! Nice Pool”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 19, 2011

At first we where shocked by the unbelievable rudeness of the night manager, however the next day when we complained to the hotel manager she explained that he was about to quit and that he had behaved similar to other guests in the past. She profoundly apologised, refunded our entire stay, gave us both a complimentary breakfast, free transfer to the airport and apologised again! I would absolutely recommend this hotel to other travellers as it is nice, great service, very good value, great pool and offer a very convenient hotel close to the airport.

The hotel has two sections, one older one and one section next to the pool. Make sure you get a poolroom as these are newer and nicer then the older section. Also if you have any questions while you are there please talk to the hotel manager, as she is extremely approachable and she really care if her guests has a good stay.

We paid way too much to start via booking.com after I checked prices, too late, on other websites. We then also paid 300 baht extra and upgraded to a pool view room, and was most surprised as it was simply stunning. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained and the Pool is amazing for an airport hotel.
However it is 500 meters down Soi 22 and NO taxis go there, so we had a loooong walk to find dinner. We duly found a nice local place and then had some late night cocktails at Paseo Mall, and then ambled back.
The hotel offers a shuttle for 150 Baht, if you should choose not to walk.
The "free" breakfast was a major disaster, as there is just an a la carte menu with no clear idea of what you can or can’t have and the communication, ONCE AGAIN, was painful. My eggs were only partly cooked and still slimy and I waited for 10 minutes before I took my plate of food to the foyer to get the attention of the charming manageress who attended to the problem immediately and offered extra bacon as compensation. However this system is bound to cause stress and confusion with future guests and I hope it gets resolved. The free limo transfer was also great.
To conclude, if you can afford the Pool view room, they are really spectacular, and this would make a night or even more there a nice experience

We stayed here after a flight from London as we were heading to Krabi the next day. The hotel rep was at the airport to meet us and take us to the hotel, the rooms are clean and comfortable and there is now a lovely pool area aswell. The food was nice, and well priced and I really can't complain. It is great value compared to the major chains and a much nicer way to spend a night near the airport

Based on TripAdvisor reviews, my sweetheart and I chose the Paragon Inn over the much more expensive Novotel for our pre-flight stay. We booked a room for 1500 Baht, including round-trip pick-up and drop-off to/from the airport. The good news: even though our arrival was delayed because of customs, the representative was there to greet us and took us to the hotel in a shiny new Toyota van. On the way to the hotel, the driver stopped at a grocery store to buy a SIM card for his phone. The return trip went just as well: we asked to be picked up at 4:45 a.m. to go to the airport and the van was waiting outside our door by 4:30. No problems there. On the other hand, when we arrived at the hotel, the young woman who picked us up immediately took us to another newer, larger room than we had booked, and told us we could have that room for an additional 300 Baht per night. That room in fact was lovely, and had a deck right outside the room from which we could jump right into the swimming pool. We then asked to see the original room and it was like a cave--dingy and with no windows. We reluctantly agreed to the new room and asked to pay with a credit card, since we had been traveling elsewhere in SE Asia and had spent all of our Baht during the first part our trip. (At no other hotel during our 3-week trip were we unable to pay with a credit card. And we were spoiled by staying at the Chatrium during the first part of our trip. We can highly recommend that hotel for its location, food and value). We were told that their credit card machine was not working. OK, so we would pay with dollars. Rather than offering us the going exchange rate (about 29 Baht to the dollar), the young woman (who spoke almost no English) told us it would be 26 to the dollar. Miffed at the bait and switch/no credit card experience, we asked to speak to the manager. The manager, a quite charming woman, appeared and agreed to an effective exchange rate of 30 Baht. So we paid $60 for the room, quite reasonable under any circumstances. The room itself was large and clean, with a terrific marble bathroom with a sunken tub. The king-size bed, however, was two beds that had been pushed together and joined by a large sheet, leaving a gap in the middle. The mattress was too soft for a good night's sleep. We ate dinner in the hotel, because the hotel is down an alley and far away from most everything. The food was excellent. I'm not sure if the hotel has its own kitchen or orders the meals from a nearby restaurant. The dining experience itself was a mystery. There are two lobbies with tables. On the table are books with pictures of food and the prices. These are the menus. It was not clear how we should order food (there were no waiters) so I went to the office with one of the picture books to tell the staff what we wanted. The beers arrived promptly and were suitably cold. This hotel could do itself a favor by offering more transparency in its room selection. In other words, by telling people exactly what type of room they are getting for their 1500 Baht and what other options might be available. Since this is a hotel catering to international travelers, it also needs to hire staff who speak passable English, who can explain to guests about the dining room procedures. If it makes these changes, and offers REAL king-sized beds, I would stay there again.

Usually I stay at the Novotel when I arrive in Bangkok for a short night in transit, but somehwo I couldn't justify anymore the exorbitant price (for Thailand!) I have to fork out for just a couple of hours of sleep. So I thought I might try out something else and I was not disappointed. In fact, the Paragon Inn exceeded my expectations. I got picked up although my plane landed with a 2 hours delay. The room and the bathroom were spotless and very well designed, and for a little upgrade I got one of their room next to the pool. After a stressful flight it was so nice to relax! Their padthai is to die for, and their staff is extremely committed to give their guests the best service possible. The location is not great if you come to Bangkok to do some sightseeing (you are better off taking a hotel in town), but otherwise this place is absolutely spot on.

I arrived almost an hour late and they were still there to pick me up. The room was very comfortable and clean. The food was excellent and the price was more than reasonable. Free internet, which is not the norm for Thailand.

What a great place! Booked this place on a whirlwind weekend in the capital city. Got in after midnight exhausted and a sweet man from the Paragon was waiting for us with our names on a sign and a fabulous car to take us straight to our hotel. Not having to navigate a taxi and new city was worth alot in itself! The hotel room was spacious, with only a bed and very minimal furnishings. Very traditional Thai decor and absolutely lovely! So clean, such a great shady refuge in the middle of the city. VERY close to the airport. Had I been in town longer I might have booked another place closer to the middle of the city as it is a bit of a taxi drive into the heart of the city. Breakfast in the mornings, very reasonable rates for the quality of stay.
