“Excellent hotel, ideal for sightseeing in Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2012

We stayed at The Chatrium Riverside as a family of four. We booked a two bedroomed suite. On arrival we were offered an upgrade to a river view suite, this offered the most fantastic views of the river and city. The check in was speedy and offered a really personal service, we were escorted to our suite and whilst we admired the view the paperwork was completed. The suite was of a high standard with huge floor to ceiling windows and two balconies. We used the Hotel as a base to sightsee. Our guide Wandee met us in reception each morning and provided hugely enjoyable and informative tours that she adapted to meet our individual needs. I would most definitely use the Chatrium Riverside the next time I visit Bangkok

After doing a lot of research I booked a room with river-view. After landing at Bangkok airport & facing heavy traffic I was regretting my decision visiting Bangkok but reaching my room I was delighted having such a fantastic view of Bangkok river. The suite was awesome and service par-excellence. We (my wife, too) really enjoyed. There are other 5-7 stars hotels in the vicinity but this is really a value-for-BAHT. We stayed on 26th floor suite for 3 nights in Nov'12 and used to take their river-shuttle for near-by Sky-train.

We appreciate their staff for smooth check-in and check-out...If you want to have a great view of bangkok river this is a hotel for you...

Room Tip: No doubt River-view...

Stayed for the loy krathong festival, fire works etc , really nice. Had upgraded room with 2 bedrooms, fab view of the river from 10 th floor. Great pool on sixth floor , you can view the city and river etc from in the pool...which is nice!
Complimentary boat taxi is great, we avoided the hotel restaurant and went to the local bars and food places, great times.
Only gripes are the stingy amount of tea bags (1) and coffee (2) in room , breakfast room is slightly chaotic and busy, maid will clear up you stuff while you are up at counter and you won't know where you've been sitting so always have one of your party "guard" the table. Huge Glass walls of breakfast room are constantly covered in condensation due to it being a/c chilly inside and humid out so you can't see outside which is a shame

This hotel has almost everything you need. It is almost a luxury hotel in almost a great location. But what it does have is an amazing view. That was why I chose it and I have no regrets. Spend the extra few Baht and get the river view. The breakfast is very good but why eat a hotel breakfast when you are in one of the great street food cities in the world? The shuttle boat works out very well. It takes you to a BTS station and a pier for the river taxi. The wifi is not great, but it is free. The pool is lovely. I would recommend this hotel as being a very good value and would stay here again if I come back to BKK.

Just stayed six nights, had a room on 25th floor which was great with fantastic city & river views, very comfortable, seperate bedroom with excellent beds, we all enjoyed the excellent buffet breakfast with an amazing choice for all travellers, also the evening buffet & bbq was so nice with such a large selection spoilt for choice 900++ baht great value, swimming pool was good think its roughly 30m never seemed many people using it so ideal for getting the lenths done, hotel shuttle boat to sathon pier/sky train was brilliant & ran until 24.00 which helped after some late nights, i'd head back to Chatrium hotel riverside again no worries. Enjoy.

Room Tip: go for a riverview high up...!!!!!

We upgraded to the river view and it was well worth it for the view.
The one bedroom suite was clean, had excellent facillties and was very comfortable.
Staff friendly enough for a big hotel. The river boat to skytrain very useful, so would reccommend staying there.

Room Tip: get a riverview

Very nice hotel. Cant really fault anything. Great views of the river. Nice big room. Good food. But i just did not feel like i was in a hotel. It felt like a serviced apartment, which i think it was built for.

A lil off frm town. But the boat is regular and u can get to the BTS in no time. And its a couple ofmins to Siam station.

Overall a nice hotel if you wanna be away frm the hustle n bustle.

Room Tip: You got to pay more fr a river view, but worth it. You get an excellent view.
