Stayed on the banks of the Chao praya river in Bangkok for a night in this hotel. Had a company meeting. First thing that gets you is simply the huge number of people going in and out of the hotel. The hotel has 34 floors and all rooms jav a stunning view of the river. The hotel runs a ferry shuttle sevice to the local ferry station which helps in abig way. You can take another ferry from there to move along the river or climb up to the saphan taksin BTS station. It helps you avoid the congested road traffic of Bangkok. The hotel is very close to a river side night market complex called ASIATIQUE. This place also has some entertainmen folk shows. The hotel rooms are neat clean and spacious. The facilities provided make the stay quite convienient. The bath room design is also lavish with separate booths for a shower and a bath tub. The swimming pool is big but all hotel residents can stare at you when you swim around location. The conference rooms on the fourth floor are good with panoramic river view and good arrangment of audio visual equipment. The ground floor conference rooms are dull and meed a revamp. The restaurent on the riverfront looks very beautiful butf the food was a let down. Even though the spread included Continental,Thai and Indian, the food taste was mideocre. The service of some of the staff was a tad sluggish maybe because of the heavy influx of tourists. But a big plus was the fact that most of the staff could understand and speak English. Overall would give 3.5 points out of 5.

I had such a nice stay at Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok. The staff were so helpful at all times, and the view from my room was spectacular to say the least. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bangkok, and I will certainly return again. There is a complimentary boat service which transports guests to the fast train station which is also very handy.

Just amazing! Concierge par excellence! From the moment you step out of your taxi, the service is at its best. The breakfast buffet will leave you confused because of the wide array of choices. The view is to die for -- bangkok riverside looks stunning at night. The rooms are very relaxing. And they upgraded us to a one-bedroom suite with your own lounge area and kitchen.

We stayed there for only 1 night on a weekend, we were upgraded to a suit room which is very nice ;however, at 4 AM the phone was ringing, we ignored, then the door bell rang, we ignored. 5-10 mins later the phone rang again, following up with door bell, we couldn’t resist it this time. We went out from the bedroom to check at the door and saw that they were trying to break in to our room (Thanks god we had the dooor gaurd on). They said that our room is supposed to check out by now and show us the check out room list. A bit shocked as we were half sleeping. Then there was a phone call from reception saying ‘oh it’s a mistake, there was fire alarm in your room so we sent our stuff to check (3 gentlemen)'. We let it go as we needed to go back to bed.

We kept all doubt until morning and asked the front manger about the whole situation. It was a mistake about the check out list but why did the reception lie to us?? We were apologized and offered some voucher.

Overall, we were happy about this hotel, mistakes can happen, no problem but they shouldn’t have lied to us. We will go back again, hopefully no one will bang on our door again!
