“Excellent Service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

The Sunday buffet is excellent, very attentive staff and warm friendly atmosphere. If you are unfamiliar with some of the dishes members of staff will explain them in detail and also offer recommendations.

We were very impressed with all elements of this restaurant, would definitely recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Indian food.

“Bad kitchen practises”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

Hard to express the disappointment concerning the food served here, the curries were identical expect the Mutton had a bit more Tomato extract added. My impression is the have plenty of ready cooked curries which are used in many different dishes, we very just unlucky to order signature dishes. Considering this the rating must be low as it is the best they are doing. To me Indian food are never served boneless, all dishes were served using precooked lamb and Chicken pieces which appeared old and cold, the saffron rice was old cold rices, no trace of saffron except the price, a complete distortion never even seen one piece of saffron. Food was very low quality, expensive.

AS we mentioned the problems to the waiters they left the different dishes on the table, properly used to complains and having a policy of not entertaining such.

While we were in the restaurant an argument where obvious the manager wanted unhappy Indian guest out, Same complain the food, my Hindi is rusty but still good enough to catch the situation.

We were offered dessert on the house and 20% discount, which does not change anything concerning the foods, as well as the kitchen practice which is belonging in fast food chain, not in an expensive Indian restaurant.

Sadly the manager came over agreeing to the point raised, which only confirm the complete disregard the owners have for their clients running a restaurant which only purpose it making money.

No excuse possible, bad is my opinion!

“Expensive but not so good.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

Thought we would try Indus after some good reports on TA.
We hadn't reserved a table but turned up at 7:30 on a Saturday night the place was full however they did manage to fit us in after a brief 10 minute wait at the bar.
The setting in the restaurant is really nice.
The menu has extensive vegetarian option and a lot less meat choices.
We chose our starters it took around 5 minutes for my wife's starter to arrive but my starter didn't arrive until 10 minutes after hers, we do prefer to eat our meals together. Ok I suppose these things happen at times. The main course arrived arrived both the peas pilau rice and the saffron rice were cold. The curries were average and to be honest a little bland, the naan bread was Ok.
Overall for 2 drinks (each), 2 starters, 2 mains,2 rice and 2 naan was just under 3000 Baht which is probably the most expensive Indian meal that I have ever had.
To be honest we have had much better curries at a quarter of these prices.
Really disappointing for the cost.
Would we return?
No.

“Fabulous fish tandoori”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

We went for an early dinner and it was rather quiet.. We asked the waiter to recommend some dishes and they didn't come disappointing at all. We had a tandoori fish as the appetizer and it was probably one of the best tandoori I have ever had. We also had a butter chicken, lamb vindaloo and a palak paneer. All was good except the paneer wasn't that great. It's priced well based on the decor and service. However, it is not a place that I want to go to whenever I want a curry...

“best Indian in Bangkok”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013

I have eaten in many Indian restaurants in Bangkok. Indus is the best. It is on Soi 26,just passed K village and best accessed from Rama 4. Many places have great dishes but often not a convivial atmosphere - Indus has it all. The decor and ambience is great. The service is excellent, and so is the food. I cannot fault it.
