“very good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2013

Paid aprox. 1000 bht for a very large room with kitchen and balcony. The room was clean and nice looking. Hotel staff spoke english, Good location. Small cons: A little mold in the shower, air con right above the bed so we kept turning it on and off during the night.

You get what you pay for. This is not a 5 star hotel, so don't expect it to look or function like one. The tuk tuk is FREE so why complain about how often it runs? When we first checked in, we thought we were checking into a "no tell motel." There were all these ladies hanging around the lobby chainsmoking. When we got to the room, it appeared to be run down. It is. But it was clean the whole 7 days were were there. I didn't see the bugs other people mentioned. Having the fridge was convenient because we stocked it with breakfast items and beer. The shower has a flash heater that is hard to regulate to a decent temperature. The staff seems to just "tolerate" the guests without going out of their way--ever. I suspect that some of this comes from dealing with difficult people. Every little thing has an extra fee. At least it is quiet.

We really liked a couple of little restaurants in the area. The owners of Naga are super sweet and the food is excellent. We liked Little Tree also.

If you take the BTS, you can get off at Saladeng or Chong Nansi. It is quite a walk. When you come down the stairs, the taxis sitting right there will try and rip you off. Do not pay them 150 baht to go to the hotel. It should be under 80. Sometimes you just can't get it lower than that. Sometimes you can get a tuk tuk for 50 if they are desparate. Also, expect no one to have a clue where the hotel is and take you to the one in Silom even when you show them a map. I even wonder if some of the reviews on here are for the Silom I Residence.

To start off with, i booked the wrong hotel cos i mistook this for I Residence in Silom. Anyhow....

The good:
1. The price is reasonable and the room is spacious with some cooking facilities.
2. The hotel is far from the BTS station but they provided tuk tuk service so that's not too bad. We stayed out quite late anyway and took a taxi back instead.
3. No problem with check in/out and the staffs are friendly.

The not so good:
1. The room do look a bit dated but still clean nevertheless.
2. Walking to the BTS station can be a pain after a while.
3. Free limited Wi-Fi...2 hours i think.

This hotel located quite far from BTS and it only provide a tuk tuk service to BTS every 30 mins. It really inconvenient to us as we planned to walk around using BTS. I stayed in family suites for 3D2N. The water in bathroom hardly flow and it caused a minor flood in bathroom. Its quite hard to communicate with some of the staffs too. But what i felt was they tried their best to help and assist. For the breakfast, it really dissapointing. It provide only rice with one dish, sausage, ham and a soup. There were not much choices, but luckily they offered variety of eggs (fried egg, omelet, boiled). They offered 3hrs free wifi per person for the whole staying period. Overall, i think there are still other hotel worth staying compare to this hotel.

First thing to note is that do not expect 5 stars treatment or amenities when you pay dirt cheap. For the price of roughly less than THB 1000 i would say this place is a steal.

Pros:
i) Cheap
ii) Easily accessible and located, along a main road with many big hotels nearby as your landmarks
iii) many eateries/convenience shops around
iv) few walks away from the main road
v) free tuk-tuk to BTS
vi)friendly service
vii)ample parking space
viii)good sized room, bathroom, comfortable bed and all appliances are in working condition
ix)good wifi signal

Cons:
i) really need a good pest control done-those review about cockroaches are definitely true
ii) the whole hotel needs an upgrade/refurbishment as all things look like they have never been replaced since the hotel opened-wear and tear apparent
iii)breakfast room/restaurant on the 9th floor was previously a gym area now converted to be the breakfast room which tend to get crowded at peak hours
iv) minimal offering for breakfast
v) bottled water placed in the fridge are chargeable while the one placed outside are not-makes no sense as they are identical being chilled and not chilled the only difference-many people where caught unaware of this i believe

Booked a 3 pax room, rm 905. 12 feet from the dining room! If u have ever stayed in an asian hotel, u will understand the noise at mealtimes. Requested a new room, met with surlyness and indifference...and got a 2 person single bed affair. This hotel has now hit rock bottom, never to be used again by my family and I

Pros:

Great location, next to the easily notable Marriot Sathorn. Walking distance to gay venues.

Relatively cheaper. I paid less than 1000 Ba per night.

Cons:

Bugs. bugs. Tiny cockroaches. Here and there. (Maybe this is a sign that this room is insecticide free and thus organic)

Safe does not work. (not only this in my room but also that in my friends' room)

Shower does not drain. (Well it drained after 1 hour). I always stand in water, up to my heels, when I take a shower. The water up to my heels contains, naturally, the sweat and dirt washed down from my body.

Service lax:
1. forgot to make room
2. forgot to give new towels
3. forgot to give new toilet paper

But what can I say? The front desk guys and bell boys etc are obviously overworked.

Room Tip: cheap, tolerable, but service lax to a laughable degree
