“Good food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014

My dad lives in Thailand on the riverside and he recommended this restaurant as it is very easy to reach with the shuttle boat. The interior is very traditional and the service was fantastic. We had a variety of small dishes to share, among others a real nice green papaya salad - not too spicy - and some delicious scallops with crispy garlic. Try the 'morning glory' as a side, which is a delicious stir fry. Everything was fresh and the spices were very authentic.

“Good Thai, Not Amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

This restaurant is what you need it to be: standard Thai dishes in a nice atmopshere. The service, like most other places in Thailand, is not consistent with western expectations (your food will come when it comes), but this place is a decent option for those who may be afraid to venture farther afield in the culinary field. This place is easy and accessible, and not expensive.

“Very expensive not worth it”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2014 via mobile

My husband and i Ordered one tum yum soup it came half full with 3 pieces of baby shrimps, and one duck curry soup came with one piece of duck inside.very expensive, also the inside walls are dirty, mold, paint peeling off.For the prices not worth eating here, its just a tourist trap.i read the reviews and thought this could be a good restaurant, since we spend alot of time in Bangkok, and in this area. But i wouldn't advise anyone to eat here.

“Middle-of-the-road Thai food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

When a Thai restaurant is located between the Oriental Hotel and the Sheraton its not hard to understand why the food is a little mediocre and the majority of diners are tourists.
This restaurant serves mid -quality Thai food for a clientele who are decidedly foreign.
If you were staying at a hotel close-by and wanted a quick stroll to an acceptable but not great Thai meal, you might consider this establishment.

“Warm welcome and good food in cosy atmosphere”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 12, 2013

Ater 2,5 weeks holiday in Thailand we spent our last night in luxury at Lebua hotel. After soaking in the view from the skybar and paying EUR 30 for a cocktail and a beer we found Tongue Thai in the excellent Tripadvisor City Guide App as a potentially good place for a nice meal. And it lived up to the reviews below!
Very nice soft shell crab with egg, steamed seebass and roast-duck fried rice. Friendly and warm atmosphere, an oasis in the frenzy of Bangkok.
It's just one street off the main road, so we found it pretty easy to find (tripadvisor app can also point you there).
