Great little find not far from the Shangri-La and usually head here at least once during our stays.

“Excellent food without breaking the bank.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

It's authentic as authentic gets, in a very pleasant setting. Well-known Thai dishes are executed very well, including the much loved papaya salad and sticky rice with mango. Service is brisk and friendly, with a lot of smiles. It's Thai food that is done right and not at all fussy and you'll have quite the pleasant walk afterwards around the area.

“Very good thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2011 via mobile

The food was excellent and very authentic thai. The service was good and very friendly and so is the atmosphere. We felt very comfortable and will go there again!
"very good thai food"
The history of the house / building is also very interesting. Not easy to find but worth going there. Fair prices and very good MaiTai.

“Excellent range of dishes and quality for a vegetarian”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011 via mobile

Stopped in Bangkok on the way North and tried this restaurant based on a travel book.
Tucked away in an alley behind the hotel it's easy to miss. The staff are attentive, the food is delicious, but best of all is the range of dishes. My wife is vegetarian and allergic to prawns, so seriously hampered for choices, but the menu here was clearly labeled in Thai and English and she was spoilt for choice.

“Perfect Thai food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2011

The frontage is very unassuming, step inside to find a lovely interior and an excellent menu. The prices suited and the quality of food was excellent. We wished we had found Tongue Thai before, as it was our last night in Bangkok.
