“Cheap and cheerful!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2012

Travelling all over Thailand we encountered various Indian restaurants and this was my no means the best, but certainly not the worst either. The restaurant is homely and as clean as can be expected for a back alley in Bangkok. The food was tasty, wholesome and good value for money. My main criticism was the meat being a little on the stringy side. I recommend the naan breads though!

“Ok food, nice escape from the busy street outside”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012 via mobile

I love Indian food, so when we saw Royal Indian in our Lonely Planet guide on our first night in Bangkok we decided to try it. Although the cool quiet restaurant was a nice escape from the busy street outside, the food was disappointing. The naan was excellent but the portions were small and the vegetarian plate we shared was so so. At 300 baht for two people it was not as good as we hoped it would be.

“Pathetic. The cook needs to go back to school”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2012

Navaratan Korma has only paneer cubes. And you can't call plain yellow rice as biryani. Pathetic taste. Over priced. Indian food should be eaten in sukhumvit area only. Esp at Bawarchi in soil 4.

“Nice restaurant but bit costly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2012

Restaurant os located inside SIAM food court and the service is excellent being a common service platform.

But the restaurant is costly when compared with similar restaurants in Bangkok.

You can et both Veg and Non Veg and they have exclusive Veg items also which makes it convenient for Veggies.

“good indian food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2012

Chicken tikka masala: good, spicy (but not too spicy) and a good portion
Shrimp tikka masala: ...
Place is situated near Pahurat market and full of Indians staring at Bollywood movies. Take care of your head when going to toilet!
