“great little hotel in a big city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

Recently stayed in Bangkok for a few days and found this hotel and booked it due to all the great reviews. Darjelling Boutique Hotel is small and a little hard to find, but worth the effort. The location in phenomenal, staff are very friendly and helpful with anything and everything. The rooms are clean, modern and have everything you need. It is a calm escape from the madness beyond. Also, down the small street nearby are great massage options and a few great restaurants. Only disappointment was not having the pool available.

i came back after a few years and everything was ok (position, staff, room, ecc.) except the condition of the hotel, it needs maintenance imho. Stains everywhere don't give good impression, it looks neglected

I was gonna chill down from the heat of Bangkok. but the swimming pool has been being as a sanitary closet.
they should take photo of swimming pool out of advertising.
nice location, close to train station and hotel is located off the main street. so nice and quiet.

First of all I was kindly surprised how well the hotel is located. On the one hand, it's in the center of Bangkok - just on the corner of the main street, on the other hand - the place is quite calm and you don't hear the noise of the traffic. The skytrain and subway station is 2 min away, it was really comfortable. The room was cozy, I especially liked the glass window instead of wall between bedroom and bathroom (seen in my uploaded picture) :) The staff was really helpfull, I got a bunch of advices where to go and what to visit. If I go to Bangkok once again, I will definitely stay at the same hotel! Comfort and good location for a reasonable price. I recommend!

The hotel is very close to the skytrain station Asoke, moreover is very close to the sukhumvit road, but you do not feel the noise of this road. The staff is very friendly and will help you in every your neeed, the room are confortable and new. I had some problem with the soap in the shower and the staff fixed it in few minute. It is a place to stay in Bangkok, considerind the location and the price it is worthwhile!
I'll be back!

Great hotel, clean and large rooms. Nice decor! Absolute bargain for the price. A little hard to find but eventually you can't miss the big green building. Amazing location right by asock bts which can take you anywhere in the city. Highly recommended!!

Periodically I spend 2-3 days in Bangkok as a solo traveller to complete local chores. My hotel of choice has become the Darjelling which is about the distance of a well struck 5 iron from the Asoke BTS (skytrain) and/or the Sukhumvit MRT (subway) stations. My need in a hotel is sleep and rest -- down time. For these trips I have minimal need for the hotel to offer entertainment, business facility, dining or resort activities. For my purposes the Darjelling is ideal -- efficient management and service with clean, modern, comfortable rooms and complimentary wifi. But the major benefits are the easy access to public transportation and the value of the venue.
