“A Tad Expensive But Worth It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

The food was delicious, fresh and served very quickly. The attendant staff were always there to help, but were not hovering.

They can cater for most taste buds, but we wanted traditional Korean food which is what we got.

“Worth a visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

A great experience if you haven't dined at a Korean BBQ house before (or even if you have) Broth is poured into a heated bowl at your table and basically you add whatever you like from the selection of vegetables, mushrooms and meat supplied. More by luck than judgement we ended up with a delicious soup. The staff will assist and/ or advise you on how to put your meal together but half the fun is just having a go at creating a great meal. A hotplate is also on the table where you can add your meat and when cooked as you like it just remove and dig in. The food was very fresh and the prawns huge. I'm sure kids would love it.

“As good as it gets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2013

Not very authentic but great value. My only basis is Korean Airlines food, if you choose well from the very long menu. Try the hot pot. Bimbimbap is excellent too.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

We went here as staying in pathumwan princess hotel. It was a different experience as they cook on a mini BBQ in front of u.

The food was ok and the service was good.

Worth a try.

Dear Moogle1,

Thank you for your taking the time to review Kongju and we are pleased to note that you enjoyed the “different experience”. Kongju offers a selection of traditional Korean Fine Dining options, including the famous Korean BBQ as you mentioned. We hope you that you will return, both to Pathumwan Princess Hotel and Kongju Korean Restaurant, during a return trip to Bangkok. We look forward to serving you again soon.

“Delicious Korean Barbecue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

The restaurant has a good variety of Korean barbecue menu items. It was so good that my guests from Japan requested this restaurant for 2 of the 4 nights they were in Bangkok! This is not a fancy restaurant, but the food is good, and very close to Phat Pong Street.
