“Great Luxury Hotel in Good Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 2, 2013

Stayed here four nights at the end of a four weeks holiday before flying back to the UK, we know the area well and understand the good & not so good of this location, some great restaurants & bars around, we had a very nice room on the 23rd floor with a great bathroom one problem the taps in the shower & sink not very good to operate, the staff at this Hotel are as usual excellent so helpfull and seem pleased to have you as a guest, the buffet breakfast also is one of the best you could have with plenty of choice we could not fault this Hotel not cheap but worth the money

Room Tip: The best rooms are on the 23 & 24 floor

This was among the first flagships for the recent rebranding of the Le Meridien chain, and staff and management make every effort to be nothing short of exemplary. Rooms are stylishly appointed, and the property retains the feel of an intimate business or boutique hotel. One of the better gyms and best breakfasts in the city (try the green tea coconut bread -- toasted with a heap of salted butter). This hotel is a 'sleeper hit', overlooked in the top tier of Bangkok's best. Surprisingly low prices make this an incredible value and luxury play.

Loved the room. Upgrade to corner room worth it. Very clean. Good service. I normally avoid hotel restaurants but the Australian wagyu beef salad was fantastic. Close to pat pong night market, handy for walking. The constant hassle at night to go to a ping pong show a bit wearing, but the hotel is an oasis from that. I'd stay again. Tony's leather for custom shoes down the street did an amazing job in two days. (Two locations within two blocks. The one further away had much better service than the one directly across the hotel)

We switched to this hotel for our last night in Bangkok in 2011. Lebua's pool was not open and we wanted a pool for our last day. It was a great decision. We had one of the rooms with the round bed. The bed is very comfortable and the room as a whole is very cool. The best part of the room is probably the bathroom. There is a sliding mirror door that opens from the room to the bathroom. The bathtub is in the style of the old stand alone bath tubs. The shower has a normal shower head but you can also have water come directly out of the ceiling of the shower. The pool at the hotel is nice and gets a lot of sun. The bar food at the pool is very good as well. As far as location, it is right across the street from the Patpong market.

What a fantastic hotel, the service here is impeccable and can't be faulted. The location is second to none and just perfect for getting around but being away from the boring business area where many other 5 star hotels are located. Obviously being a starwood you are still charged starwood prices despite being in thailand (i.e.: the minibar and hotel breakfast/hotel bar are extortianate compared to what you get 1 minute outside the front door), but that is expected.
Rooms are spectacular. They could do with some new carpet, but thats being picky. Overall this hotel made our stay so very enjoyable in Bangkok, I would definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning next year.

Room Tip: we chose one up from the entry level room, i believe its a corner deluxe room. Views are great from...

Fantastic service with true Thai hospitality. The location is great - just steps away from all the action in Silom: restaurants, night market, street food, bars and clubs. Stylish, modern rooms that are still welcoming and comfortable. Awesome beds that make it hard to get out of each morning. Cool sliding wall to open the space between bedroom and bathroom. One of the best hotel breakfast buffets anywhere - lots of tasty options that change daily and high quality ingredients. Highly recommended.
