My chicken enchiladas were pretty good -- not brilliant, but pretty good. The chips and salsa I shared with my wife were good. The refried beans with the enchiladas were satisfactory; the Mexican rice was very forgettable. Overall, not a bad meal. But the enchilada plate, a small Beer Lao, my 1/2 of the chips and a 10% service charge brought my total bill (not including any of my wife's share) to 473 baht (about $14.50US). This would be expensive in America. Here in Thailand, in a restaurantt paying staff Thai wages, it's WAY overpriced.

Firstly, thank you for writing a review - I'm glad that you enjoyed most of the food.
Regarding the prices. It's very subjective - a meal and a drink in Bangkok for less than 500 baht? For many people that's a bargain.
The comparison with American prices isn't helpful. In America, good cheese, beef, avocados are freely available and very cheap.
Here we need to import those products (along with many others). In addition, we are located on Sukhumvit Soi 11. This is Bangkok's busiest nightlife soi. As such, the rents are much higher than in other less convenient locations.
You mentioned Thai wages... One of the things that sets us apart is that our staff stay for long periods - in many cases more than five years. The reason for this is, we pay higher than average salaries and offer a very attractive package. We find that ensures good service and food quality.
If price is an issue, feel free to take advantage of our special offers (four nights a week) which I'm not permitted to advertise in my response.
