“Spacious and clean room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

The hotel room is spacious and clean. We especially like the washroom which has both shower and tube inside. There are fridge, flat TV, tea & coffee in the room, well for business stay.

We came to the hotel from Song Shan Airport by taxi which costs about NTD 250. It's about 10 minutes walk to the Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall where you can find a lot of restaurants and the Metro line. There's also a 7-11 on the corner of the road.

The free breakfast is nice for us. Yes like somebody mentioned in the previous reviews, it's Asian style with some fried vegetables, porridge, soy milk and maybe the bread choise is limited for those who are used to Continental Breakfast. But we love it.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. They offer maps and routes to the nearby sightseeing spots.

Generally, nice hotel and the price is very reasonable for the quality of the room.

This was my second time staying with Royal Biz, but the experience was not as good as the first. The generous outpour of smile and pro-active helpfulness were showing less in this repeat visit.

Thankfully, the rooms were still great and spacious. The breakfast spread was good with different varieties daily. From the hotel, we went to a few different places by walking:

1. Dongmen Train Station - 5 mins
2. Bo Ai Road (street to many camera & accessories shops) - 20 mins
3. Ximending - 25 mins
4. Taipei 101 - 45 mins

I would recommend this hotel to travellers who enjoy staying in a better grade boutique hotel with good accessibility, yet, away from the noisy and bustling streets of Taipei. However, if you prefer indoor, air-con amenities e.g. shopping mall, at door-step, this hotel will not be the choice.

This hotel was booked on my behalf. It was perfect for me. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was modern. The staff were attentive. I liked the location. It was near a fun shopping and eating area.

I've been there for a business trip and I found the hotel not bad but at the same time not good...
The position is quite good only because near the metro the service is in the avarege...
and the breakfast not really good.

If I'll come again to Taipei I'll consider to change hotel

This fairly new hotel has everything right, price, location, clean rooms, and very helpful staff. It does not have a restaurant, but you will not find problems eating in Taipei! The gym is not the best, but I just noticed it because I need to do some rehab and the machines are not good enough.

I travel all over the world. This hotel has service that ranks with the very best, at any price. I agree with all the positive reviews here.
The rooms are spotless, quiet and well maintained. But its the staff here that shines. They go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. But beyond that - if you do business here, they make sure you have zero problems - from making travel arrangements, to meeting clients, to acting as your personal mail room:) I will definitely stay here again!!!

Room Tip: We booked two rooms on the third floor and both were excellent- overlooking road but no noise issues...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I recently completed a 3-night stay at the Royal Biz Hotel located in a relatively quiet area of bustling Taipei. I was a bit apprehensive at first when I booked this hotel since I normally prefer to stay in the middle of action-packed Ximending. But I ended up being worried for nothing since Royal Biz Hotel turned out to be an outstanding choice.
The location may seem a bit undesirable at first but a short 5-minute walk to the Dongmen Station of Taipei's very efficient metro line will instantly make the hotel's location very ideal and accessible from any point in Taipei City. The metro station is on very busy Xinyi Road where there is an abundance of shops and restaurants foremost of which is the original branch of Taiwan's esteemed "Din Tai Fung". Should there be a need to lose a few inches gained from eating too much "xiaolongbao", then a quick jog at nearby Daan Park is ideal.
The hotel, its public areas, and most especially the rooms are all tastefully decorated. The Deluxe room I occupied was generously-sized for a solo traveler but seemed perfectly proportioned for a couple. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the sheets were of excellent quality as well. The en-suite bathroom was also well-appointed and had all the amenities any modern traveler will need. I especially loved the rain shower in the glass-enclosed shower cubicle. Internet connection was also fast and reliable.
The buffet breakfast that was included in the room rate I paid was quite satisfying and more than adequate to keep one full until the early afternoon. Most of the hot entrees were changed daily so this should make picky eaters happy.
Service throughout the hotel was warm and thoughtful. Kudos to all the amiable staff at the reception and all the room attendants as well for always being kind and hospitable.
My wonderful stay at the Royal Biz Hotel in Taipei is reason enough to return again one day.
