“Didn't have the enormity it should”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 13, 2012 via mobile

Seemed like 2-28 wasn't a big event. Just felt like a normal everyday park with kids playing and people lounging. The main memorial monument was nice though.

“not as good as da-an park”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

this park has some very strange statues and sculptures that might make a quick visit worthwhile. that being said, this park is infamous for gay cruising and the clientele that hang around is evident of this after 5pm.

“Park in the middle of city”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 8, 2012

sometimes it's nice to spend time during lunch in the park, but not so much in the night time.

“Not bad, not great. Visit only if nearby.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2012

This is a small park where locals enjoy a bit of fresh air. It is surrounded on two sides by two museums - Taiwan National Museum and the 228 Memorial museum. The park itself has nothing much to offer except a gentle stroll or a sit down if you are tired of walking around the city. There is a central memorial to those who died opposing the mainland Chinese rule and policies in 1947, and the 228 Memorial museum is a nice place to go to if you want to learn more. Right outside the museum, there are information panels which give more details on the background of the uprising and photos of those who perished. So if you don't want to go the museum, or it is closed, you get a summary of the story for free.
