The Room
The room was old, the toilet was tiny. Housekeeping was excellent though. They were very efficient and they make sure your room is clean and tidy.
The Food
Limited choice of food for breakfast, but still hot when I went down at 830am. As it was raining in Taiwan for the past few days, I had steamboat buffet at the hotel. It cost NT 600+ per person, however, the food was not really fantastic. The best part is, the crab was not washed thoroughly. Totally disgusted when I saw the dirt on the crab... *imagine this crab has been soked in your steamboat soup*
The location
If you don't like budget hotels at XiMenDing where you will meet noisy tourists, this is the hotel for you. The Min Quan West Road metro station is just 5-8mins away. However, you have to walk quite a distance to the Qing Guang Market.
The Service
To be fair, the service rendered by the staff were ok, (Although most of the time, I have to open the heavy glass door myself). The staff were polite, but not very helpful when I asked for directions to Din Tai Feng, she just gave me a map and vaguely told me the directions.
Check-in and check-out was quick.
Another thing is, given the amount I paid to stay in this hotel, I am surprise to know that I have to pay NT$100 for 1hour of internet service. And the computer there was really out of date. It practically hang on every single click for 3mins. In the end, I gave up and only used the computer for 5minutes. The computer is on 14th floor, very secluded and personally, I don't feel safe in there. (In fact, Empress Hotel which is ard the same area, offers free internet service and their computers are so much faster.)
