I usually don’t write reviews, but I really had to this time. This motto of treating their customers like “brothers” is really true!
I was thinking about staying at the Caesar Park hotel since it was close to the subway main station. However, I’m glad I didn’t. When I went by to do some snooping, the area in that hotel was really busy. In fact, people from the main station literally walked through the hotel to get of where they were going. A definite turn off…. Back to Brother …
First off, they offer a hotel transfer at a great price – someone stands at the airport with your name on a card and you are escorted to a black Mercedes right to the hotel doorstep. Do try tipping the bellhops and driver, they might accept. If not, they at least know you’ve appreciated their help!
Back to hotel. The room I asked for (high floor, non-smoking) was spectacular. It had a great view of the city and the subway station. Did I mention how ridiculously convenient this hotel is? The subway station is literally across the street of the entrance. On top of that, there are two bakeries (one which the hotel owns), and a convenience store right next to the hotel. I’m an early bird; so every morning I would get breakfast at the hotel’s sushi/rice ball shop next to the reception area and their bakery. Although they do tote 8 restaurants, which have great service, I found it a little pricey and not as tasty as other less expensive fare.
The rooms are absolutely immaculate. You have this funny little console in the center of the room that controls the lights. The bathroom is also very clean. They try with a marble façade. It’s not huge, but very nice. Use all the freebies (bottles of water, toothbrushes, etc) If you don’t they keep stacking more on top everyday!
The service really can’t be beat. You are greeted warmly from the moment you step into the hotel. Your room is really cleaned twice a day. I think they stalk you when you leave, since they never encumbered me. The reception staff speaks English, Chinese, and Japanese. I had brought some fruit, but no knife. So the next day, the cleaning staff noticed I hadn’t eaten my fruit and they left plates, knives, and forks so I could chow down on my snack! You can exchange money right in the hotel at the reception desk and they give really good rates. You get to borrow a laptop for 30 minutes for free and Internet is free. When you leave, the bellhops will stand there in their cute uniforms and wave like the president is leaving!
Brother, I miss this place!
