“Short stay with In Room Hot Spring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2014

Superb location - 5 mins walk from Xin Beitou station. The room was surprisingly huge - twice as big from what I'm expecting, more than enough to accommodate a double bed plus a single bed. Good for family. Breakfast was include - simple Chinese food. Hotel is quite old but famous with local people. I would try another hotspring hotel with modern facilities the next time I visit Taipei.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

The hotel is close to the subway station. The building looks ok from the outside, but the facilities inside seem a bit old. The ventilation is bad so you can smell the moist and wetness of the room (because of the in-room hot spring facility). Glass door and window between the bedroom and bathroom (only partially frosted), can see clearly inside the bathroom from the bedroom. More suitable for couple. There is no hanger for the sprinkler so you have to hold it yourself when taking shower. And there are no hanger for towel in the bathroom either. Towels are lean but look very old. They only provide two big towels and two middle size ones. If you need to use more than what's provided (e.g. More towels, small size ones, extra shampoo, etc.) there are extra charges. Could hear noise from other rooms. Breakfast is included (suppose this depends on package), but selection of food is very limited. Staff are helpful and generally friendly.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2011 via mobile

Location:less than 5 minutes walk across the road from 新北投 (Xinbeitou) station.

Nearby: Unfortunately, delays and shorten day time din allow me to explore the touristy places such as the public hot spring bath, museum and geothermal valley further from the station. There are two 24hour 7-11 stores and fast food joints such as KFC, Yoshinoya and MOS burger. So food shouldn't be a problem.

Good: highly accessible (from the station keep left to traffic light and look out for the smaller 7-11). Mordern decor, clean and comfortable bed with four pillows. Includes a bar fridge, large lcd tv with many chinese channels, daily necessities and towels. "Bathtub" is supplied with hot spring water and cold tap water plus a low shower right beside it. Water pressure from the shower is great.
Bad: the closet is a bit small (4-5pc) and no hotel safe.

I think this is a good hotel if you intend to stay in beitou area and visit tamsui (淡水) which is a few stations away. Otherwise it is rather far from the Taipei main station and other important shopping spots in Taipei. The private hot spring bath in each room is a nice touch as its much more convenient, cleaner and allows adjust of temperature according to personal preference. The room doesnt have a window and may feel slightly small to some but still maintains cosy feeling. A simple breakfast is provided each morning at level 1.
