Decor is similar to Opposite House in Beijing. Very clean modern style. Love the large lounge with available self-service titbits. The only thing lacking is instant noodles which are largely available in most Taiwan hotels, but reckon this is a business hotel whose main market are not locals. Good location - 15min walkable to City Link mall and LiaoNing market, next door to Momo. No views available except for the wall of the building behind, so expect no windows. Reasonably large bathroom with automatic toilet seat. Read instructions to know how to operate the toilet.

Definitely one of the best small luxury boutique I've stayed in.

Hotel offers great service, staff were very friendly and helpful.

Room:
We booked U-Balcony room. Heavenly King size bed with modern cottage decor. Shower with strong water pressure. Clean and spacious.
Beverages in the mini fridge were all complimentary. More free beverages can also be found at the 2nd floor lounge along with free toiletry items.

Transportation:
Amazing location with a airport shuttle bus stop (Freego Bus) around the corner. Taxi to anywhere in the city costs no more than $200NT. MRT station is 3 minutes by foot.

Wi-fi:
Free wi-fi access code provided, just need to logon again after every use.

I would definitely visit Hotel Quote again.

We recently stayed here for one night on the 26th of Sep and here is the breakdown of our stay:

1. Location: Central and right across Taipei Arena. There is also a DBS bank just across the road. Momo Shopping Mall, Ikea are all there. Plenty of stuff to look and buy.

2. Rooms: I booked the T-Room and it is a very stylish and modern room. A designer's vision of contemporary luxury and understatement. I appreciated the selection of wood, glass and metal and the attention to lighting design that came together to create a space of warmth, comfort and tranquilty. No small detail went unnoticed. There were individual reading lights for either side of the king-sized bed and backlighting. The room has an open-concept bathroom so it lacks some privacy however there is a curtain that can be drawn for privacy. The overall layout of the room was pretty good. The bed was VERY comfortable and there was a separate shower and bath tub. Water pressure in the shower was awesome. Check out the cool Toto toilet cubicle. The Nespresso coffee maker and the premium sound system provided in the room were nice touches and sealed its fate as a five star property. The breakfast was by far one of the nicest and most unique spreads I have had the privilege to sample. Snacks and beverages both hot and cold were generously offered to guests at the second level breakfast room at all hours of the day and the room proved to be a perfect place to gather with travel companions.

3. Service: Excellent. It was my birthday and boy, they even prepare a surprise birthday gift for me when I check in! Staff was friendly and there were members who were fluent in English.

4. Amenities: Wi-fi in the room worked fine without any problems.

We will definitely return to Hotel Quote for our next visit to Taipei. I am simply WOW by Hotel Quote

Based on the positive experience of a friend, we booked the U-room at Hotel Quote for our stay in Taipei. The room itself was large enough to be considered adequate and the only window available though rather small in size was still able to offer a little daylight to brighten the otherwise dim room. The location was a good 5-10 minute walk from the nearest metro station so I would only recommend it to those souls brave enough to withstand the heat and humidity of Taipei's summer. It is however highly recommended for the rest of the year. Other than these minor issues, the room was perfect for our needs. The king-sized bed was so heavenly that it almost became detrimental to our plans to tour the city. The Nespresso coffee maker and the premium sound system provided in the room were nice touches and sealed its fate as a five star property. The breakfast was by far one of the nicest and most unique spreads I have had the privilege to sample. It may not offer the varieties of a conventional American style breakfast buffet, but what it lacked in selection, it made up in quality. Snacks and beverages both hot and cold were generously offered to guests at the second level breakfast room at all hours of the day and the room proved to be a perfect place to gather with travel companions. We will definitely return to Hotel Quote for our next visit to Taipei.

Stayed here for a weekend getaway in Taipei. It was a bit of a last minute trip, but I thought leaving the country for a few days would be a good change of scenery after a few stressful weeks in Seoul. Because I wanted my visit to be equally relaxing and fun, I tried to find a hotel in a convenient location (close to public transportation, shopping, etc.) and one with luxury amenities.

I arrived friday evening near midnight. My flight had been delayed by two hours due to some mysterious security issue (had to go through screenings at the gate conduced by military men in fatigues and black berets. never seen that before!). Seemed like my weekend getaway was off to a great start. So, imagine my surprise when I check in at the front desk and am notified (in fluent English) that I have been upgraded to a balcony room with a king size bed! sweet!

The room is just as it appears in the website photos. Stepping into the room was like walking into another world--a designer's vision of contemporary luxury and understatement. I appreciated the selection of wood, glass and metal and the attention to lighting design that came together to create a space of warmth, comfort and tranquilty. No small detail went unnoticed. There were individual reading lights for either side of the king-sized bed and backlighting. And small personal touches, such as a personalized welcome message on the room phone and an iPhone boise speaker/charger, made the space warm and inviting. Other notable amenities include the safe free mini-bar. The Nespresso machine was the cherry on top of this luxury comfort room sundae.

Outside of the room, my favorite part of the hotel was the second floor lounge, which is open 24/7 and provides macs and free printing services, not to mention free snacks. I printed out my boarding pass, which was hand-delivered by friendly staff, and then ended up working in the lounge until 2am Saturday night finishing work.

Because the hotel is located close to an MRT station and bus stop (and is a convenient place to catch taxis), transportation wasn't a problem for me there. During my stay I was able to see the Dali exhibition at Jiang Kai-shek memorial hall, an impressive and expansive exhibition, which I highly recommend. I was also able to visit various night markets, get a bit of shopping done, and meet up with friends for drinks and meals.

Overall, I am very pleased with my weekend there. The service was excellent. Staff was friendly and there were members who were fluent in English. The room was beautiful, clean and quiet. I had a lot of fun, rested well, and returned to Seoul refreshed and revitalized. Not bad for a weekend getaway.

Stayed there with a friend in May. Nice, cosy boutique hotel. The room had only a sliver of a window, and no view, but other than that, the furnishings were classy, the bed comfortable, and the mini bar is free!! It was my birthday and the front desk gave me a soft toy too. Friendly staff made my stay a nice experience.

Just returned from this hotel. Stayed in a U room for two persons and the room space was sufficient for luggage and walking too. The decor is quirky and interesting, though the lighting may be too dim for some people. Service was prompt and efficient, each time we called for extra hangers, they were delivered to our room in less than 5 minutes.

The reviews are accurate. Though we were early, arriving at about 2pm, the room was already ready. Location of the hotel is good and convenient as it is near the Nanjing East Road MRT Station, with eateries (e.g. Ootoya, Moss Burger, Macdonald's etc...) and shopping (e.g. Momo department store, IKEA, So Nice, NET etc...) with in the vicinity. Although the Nanjing East Road MRT Station is not centrally located near major Taipei attractions, it took about 30 minutes to an hour to travel which is not too bad.

Breakfast was good, with some variations and variety was pretty ok as well - a good top up before heading out for the day. Breakfast is from 0630 - 1000 am.

We were greeted each time we entered and left the hotel, and after sometime the staff could recognize us and our room number, adding that personal touch. The bathroom is separated by a curtain, but it is located at the corner of the room so privacy was not an issue.

Staff were friendly and very helpful, gladly providing information on how to travel to certain places. Housekeeping was great, the room was made up everyday and mini bar replenished, even when the button for "Please Make Up Room" was not turned on.

This hotel is perfect for those who intend to head out to explore Taipei most of the day, or relax in some part of the day. The HQ Lounge is a pretty neat place to hang out and enjoy a cup or tea or sacks. There are two MAC which you can use as well, and WiFi is complimentary.

We took the Freego Bus from the airport, and alighted at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel, the last stop. The hotel was a 5 minute walk around the corner, very fast.
