“Excellent hotel in good location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2014

Very conveniently located beside DaAn MRT station. You can use an underpass from the station to reach the hotel. The reception staff were very friendly and professional and give good recommendations. I was told there is a night market, Li Jiang, about 10 to 15 minutes walk away towards Taipei 101. Besides that, it is also a short walk to SOGO (Fuxing branch), or you can take the MRT one stop away.

The modern and contemporary hotel room is very comfortable and relatively spacious. The bathroom is very clean and modern although the doorway faces the bed. The beds were comfortable and clean and cozy. The only unfortunate thing is we could not get a room facing Taipei 101, but the room they gave was very quiet and peaceful.

I would definitely consider coming back to this hotel for my next trip to Taipei.

I have visited this hotel five times now. Like other travellers I find the hotel to be a in great location, right on the a major intersection and right outside an MRT stop. The service is also very good with friendly and helpful staff. But if they really want to improve the overall experience they have to do something about the breakfast. It is the major issue that drags this hotel down, especially the sausages - stay well clear, they are the worst I have ever experienced in my life. You have been warned!

Stayed here alone from 7-9th Aug 2014, booked the room at around $190 sgd. per night via Agoda.com.

Location
The hotel is at a great location in DaAn area with a MRT exit (XinYi line) right in front of the hotel entrance. Across the street is another MRT exit/entrance for the WenHu line. As you then left exiting the hotel, within minutes of walking, there's a Starbucks and Family Mart, super convenient to pick up quick meals or a cup f coffee/tea. Approximately 10-20 mins walking time to reach the 2 Sogo shopping malls & Breeze Centre. If you don't want to walk, there are plenty of buses at the bus stop near the hotel. Also within walking distance are the DaAn park and YongKang street (full of great eateries).

Room
I booked a superior room with King size bed and was upgraded to a same tier room but with a Taipei 101 view. It was a nice touch for sure. There's a balcony but can't seem to open it. The room itself is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Size is reasonably big. Comes with a working desk & an armchair. There's a bathtub in the toilet, good for soaking after a long day out.

Staff
The people working at the hotel are generally nice and pleasant. They are also quick to offer suggestions when asked. Paul in particularly was very helpful. It's great to feel welcome.

Conclusion
All in all, this is a hotel I definitely recommend and will not hesitate to rebook when I'm back in Taipei again.

This is my 2nd stay at the property and based on my previous review, they did improve the lobby and the restaurant area which levelled up the quality of the hotel in general. It was modern and well appointed and well maintained. The rooms were like my first stay well lit, decorated and furnished nicely. The staff were all very accommodating as always and the 2nd floor business lounge was a great smokers sanctuary. My only regret is staying 2 nights only and going during the rainy season.

Room Tip: request for rooms above the metro rail so as to have a better view of the city....

Located next to the Daan station on the Taipei rapid transit system, Park Taipei Hotel is conveniently located for touring the sights of this vibrant city. While the rooms are relatively compact they are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff is welcoming and pleasant but oh so stuck in their rigid ways. Ok breakfast buffet included, with both Asian style and an Western style that includes a very competent omelet to order service... if only they could learn to cook bacon properly. This reasonably priced, conveniently located downtown Taipei hotel is well worth your consideration for short stays. Make sure that you have the exact address in character script with you when you arrive at Taoyuan Airport because the taxis don't all know this hotel. Tell the drive next to the Daan station.

We stayed in early June for 3 nights as a stop on our honeymoon. The room is new, clean and a good size - with a large bathroom too. Room electronics all controlled by a bedside panel. We didn't have breakfast so cannot comment. There is a small gym with an electric massage chair in it - which we totally made use of after a long day of walking around in the heat! Location is good in the Da'an district, MRT station just outside, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Fuxing South area where there is lots of shopping. Booked on Agoda so price wasn't too bad.

Stayed at Park Taipei in June 2014, and it was a good experience. Service was good, staff was friendly. I didn't have the breakfast so can't comment about that. Rooms were adequate for the price. The MRT entrance literally at the doorstep of the hotel, so it's really convenient to move around. The MRT is much better than cabs, had a horrible experience where a cab driver tried to cheat me into taking his cab to Taichung instead of the HSR. He got upset when I insisted on going to the HSR station.

Turning left out of the hotel, there's good bubble milk tea almost next door, further down there's Starbucks, family mart round the corner, 7-11 down the road, further down, a Pau shop that sells great brown sugar pau and across the main road (about 5-10min) walk from hotel: two good soy bean milk places (about a 3min walk between them). One with a red sign board the other with a blue sign board.
