“Especially memorable at New Moon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Long Shan Temple is beautiful and interesting in many ways. It is especially moving to go in the late afternoon on the days of the new moon or full moon, when there are hundreds of people chanting and worshipping.

“Great place for photographers”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

I went to Long Shan temple to shoot some pictures of authentic Taiwanese culture and religion. To my delight I have captured great scenes which depicts the true essence of their faith. Though you have to respect also not just to shoot and shoot people while praying...

“it's not exactly the world's best idea to walk but worth the view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

This is full on cultural immersion. While this temple is located in the middle of the city, across from an MRT stop, one must remember to be respectful from the many who call this their primary place of worship. It's dreadfully humid in Taiwan, so taking the train is the best idea, but if you are adventurous, it's a nice 25 minute walk from the Sheraton (although there are no signs until the very end - follow the blue line until you start to see signs)

“An old, famous temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2013

This is an old, famous temple in Taipei. My parents used to live near it. Lots of people go there on both weekdays and weekends. There must be something magical about it. Nevertheless, it's a must-see tourist attraction in Taipei. Just to see how many people go there and say their prayers is a good reason for you to visit it.

“Beatutiful Temple in the heart of the street markets”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

The temple itself was beautiful and I was able to take some great photos while I was there. I went on a weekday about midday and found the temple to have many people there.
