“Dangerous avoid!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2013 via mobile

This place is awful! very damp amd the stones are slippery. my boyfriend fell and injured his back. To get out they expect you to climb up these slippery rocks where you cannot get a proper grip and be pulled from the top by the guide! we refused to do this as if we fell we would have landed on the jagged rocks below. No lighting, they give u a lamp but its not enough. Even if u are slightly clostrophobic do not go into the cave. If you really love bats maybe, but really its not worth the hassle!

“The hole at the end was the best”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

There were a few bats but the highlight was coming out through the tiny (optional) exit at the end. Get a guide to help you through, although agree a price first; we forgot.

“Adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

It was to be in the cave, see the bats on the cellings and then come out form a small exit. It was really a great adventure. Basically this cave is famous for the bats, so is how it got it's name Chamero Ghufa. Bats are called chamero in local language. It is one of the regular visited cave by tourist in Pokhara, Nepal

“Not very exciting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

You must watch your steps while walking. There is no light. Must bring your own torch (which is uncommon) or rent torch form the entrance. The torch rental fee is NOT included in the entry fee.

About the exit of the cave: Before entering the cave, look for the exit of the cave. It is very small and requires a bit struggling to come out. If you are not confident, you may consider walking back to the entrance and exit through the entrance.

“underwhelming”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

A long steep climb both in and out of a small cave. At times it can be quite slippery underfoot so good shoes are suggested. It was not worth the hike in and out to disturb the bats trying to sleep!
