“chillout and nature version of Fewa lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2014

whether you take a bus or go on motorbike from Pokhara is worth to go to Begnas lake. It is said is like Pokhara's lakeside but 20 years back. This means is less buildings there, less shops, less people and it's less comercialized. You can stroll on surrounding hills finding some small family restaurants where you can find really good&fresh meals or have a drink. Peaceful athmosphere in the middle of nature. I didn't dare to swim in Fewa lake but in Begnas it was a pure pleasure:) highly recomended.

“Never miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2014

It's 30 mins away from Lakside Street at Pokhare. You will not regret the vist, it lies alone, no hustles to get in since it's free, and you can hire a boat to raft along the lake. There is a side way at the end of the lake where the boat house located, you can walk along the lake if you have a time. Sunset was best there, we went to by scooter LOL.

“Tranquil lake”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2014

If you want peace & quiet ,go on a weekday.
On Saturday, can be a little busier.
My son cycled there from Pokhara, and I felt it was a wee bit dangerous in the road.
Take a taxi, cost about 1500 to 2000 rupees, and they will wait for you.

“Peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2014

Not far from Phewa lake, about 15 - 20 minutes drive, cleaner and more peaceful. Great view too, Amazing!! The himalayan can be seen clearer from here. There are also some lovely guesthouses with good food. A place of paradise of your own. Love it :)
