“Nice afternoon tea”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

We reccomed this place for a afternoon tea or dessert: it is a very romatic spot, just a cross the lake, and you get there on a platform pulled by a boatman. The garden is gorgeous, blooming with flowers. It has a view of the Annapurna that is unmatched, I think, in the city.

“Best service & location in Pokhara, but average food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

The service at this restaurant was exceptional & the location is by far the best we've found in Pokhara. We sat outside overlooking the lake. The waiters are very well trained & found the perfect balance of service without interrupting your evening. The fact that you've just been rowed over to the restaurant adds to the whole experience.

The food was okay, but doesn't quite meet up to the standard you'd expect. My husband & our friend ordered the Indian food on the menu, which was good. I ordered steak which was average. I always order rare in Nepal as it will generally come overcooked, but this steak was well-done which I found a little disappointing as I imagined the kitchen would be used to cooking steak here.

If you like creamy cheesecake, don't order here. I ordered it & on the menu it was described as "velvety" but it was more of a gelatine mousse - no real cheesecake flavour. The ice cream isn't that good either, but the apple pie was not bad.

We will definitely return for the location & experience, but if you go don't have too high expectations of the food.

“Romantic diner”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

The Lodge has great tables on the edge of the lake. The food is very good and the service very friendly. This however comes at a price.

“Just go for the location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

Been in this lodge after 10 hard days of trekking. Found overpriced and too pricy. Obviously is worthy for position, view and lake side, but is overpriced at all (you have to pay even for a cup of tea, so please take your kettle with you). Staff in the average, wifi not free. Compared with others lodge on the mountain isnt too special. So, go for the view and enjoy a boat ride.

“Stunning. Didn't want to leave.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Wonderful. Hot water, heaters in the rooms. Spa services. you have to take a little raft/ferry to get to your hotel but its a wonderful part of the experience. Food in the dining room was great. I really didn't want to leave.
