My husband and I have stayed at this hotel for 10 years now and consider it our home away from home. It's location is only 5 minutes walk from Thamel but it feels like it is miles away from it's chaotic streets as it is in a relatively quiet road in Jyatha. The rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are wonderfully comfortable. The staff are excellent, friendly and keen to help; they go to enormous lengths to welcome us and to ensure our stay is comfortable. The hotel has a generator which means they have power during the long power outages which effect most of Nepal (14-16 hours outage not uncommon during winter/spring). We always stay at the Holy Himalaya when in Kathmandu and will continue to do so.
