“Fantastic Hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2011

I highly recommend Fuji Hotel! It is lovely and comfortable and in a perfect location. And the staff!! I have never met such a kind, friendly, and attentive hotel staff! Everyone went above and beyond to help me and to make sure that my stay in Kathmandu was wonderful. I felt completely at home and will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Nepal - I can't wait to go back!!

The fuji hotel offers a tranquil getaway from the hectic streets of katmandhu. Reasonable, clean rooms, very friendly and helpful staff, free internet in the lobby and good breakfasts. The location is good too -handy for Thamel but away from the main road.

Room Tip: We found rooms on lower floors at the fron of the hotel a little quieter as the higher floors pick...

We had the pleasure of staying with Pradeep Pakhrin (owner) and his staff while in the Thamel district of Kathmandu this October (2011). Pra was personally present at all times and nothing escaped his capable attention and the prompt attention to our every want was immediately met. The Hotel is ideally situaled just off the main drags in Thamel, and if we needed to book a tour or transport it was done without hesitaton or error.

I heartily reccomend this clean, comfortable and "like you are at someone's home" Hotel and will definitely return.

The location is good. Convenient and quiet.
Our flight is late in the evening and the hotel arrange the pick-up, the staff is very hostile. I made the room reservation online and the staff feed back immediately.
The room is very big with a balcony and the shower is great. The furnitures are not new just as any other hotel here. But what would you expect at this price? It is worth to choose.

I stayed here for about 10 days with a trip to Pokhara in the middle. The staff is incredibly attentive, kind and helpful. At first I thought it was almost too much but as I got used to it I really enjoyed it!

They helped me with reservations, gave me directions and called me taxis. I was always greeting with a kind 'Namaste' and a smile. My favorite breakfast was the yogurt and muesli with fruit and Nepali tea. I also tried the rice pudding - it took forever but I think that was because it was freshly made and hot.

The location is convenient (Thamel) and its off the main street so its quiet, I can't think of one thing that wasn't great!

Room Tip: If you go in Juloy don't even consider the rooms without A/C.

Fuji hotel has a new wing which includes Super Deluxe and Deluxe rooms with TV and the added comfort of air conditioning. The corridors are wide and airy, while most rooms have a balcony. The Suite offers cosy rooms with an attached kitchen furnished with all modern amenities. Also we have standard rooms. A newly added restaurant opens out to the garden restaurant and can seat up to 40 people. For groups or families seeking privacy, a separate section has been designed, yet it lies within the restaurant.
