“excellent property...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

we had an excellent stay at this property. we got an upgradation to a cottage on arriving there, which added to our experience. i had booked this place after some research on the net itself, but was keeping my fingers crossed. as soon as we arrived at the place traversing through bustling kathmandu, we sighed a relief. the location is excellent-just at the foothills. but the best part is lot of greenary within the resort itself. it reminded me of my stay at krishnamurthi foundation rajghat, banaras.
the staff was very friendly...
the best part was the pool..my son had a great time there. splashing within the pool...he became the center of attraction for everyone..
the breakfast spread was good, including other preparations.
Bhudda Neelkantha temple was walking distance, where i visited daily early morning on my walk.
after a long time my husband and i played table-tennis which we enjoyed thoroughly. nice relaxed mornings and lazy afternoons after a long break worked wonders for us.
Overall a wonderful place for nature lovers not keen on wandering too much.

Room Tip: cottages at a distance from main reception are quieter and peaceful.

A sudden plan to visit Kathmandu , led to the choice of Hotels and we made the best possible choice with Park Village!! It turned out to be a blessing when we decided to take a short trip to Pokhara as well. KGH group is by far the perfect choice if you wish to travel the entire Nepal and need a single point for accomodation arrangements with a multiple choice of budgetory options.
The service is impeccable and prompt and the locations at Katmandu and Pokhara were devine.
Overall a great holiday with literally no planning.....just a single phone call.
Overall , I would rate the Village Park the most perfect holiday resort location( barring the road leading to the resort), i have visited and the other hotels and resorts of the group were so conveniently located.

It is a quiet, green, well structured resort placed in In the village of Budhanilkantha north of Kathmandu. It offers apartments and rooms, it is equipped with a nice swimming pool, which water is exceptionally clean, good restaurant and good service, 24/7 power is ensured despite the long daily black out, personnell is always kind and available. The only negative point is the distance from Kathmandu city center that could be a pain in the neck with the crazy traffick of the city and the very bad road conditions connecting Budhanilkantha to the center. Consider that the transfer will take around 30-40 minutes, banning traffick jam or other disturbances. Nevertheless, a shuttle will take you up and down from the hotel to downtown Kathmandu twice a day. Absolutely, the best you can get in Kathmandu Valley.

We went as a family for snacks and drinks and had a lovely time enjoying this resort hotel's grounds. There is a fabulous swimming pool area. We enjoyed delicious momos, chow mein and other snacks with nepali tea. All delicious. Just off the main drag into Budhanlikantha and you could easily drive past it as it's not massively well signed, but a lovely surprise nonetheless.

We stayed here for a couple of nights last month when we first arrived in Nepal for our birdwatching holiday. I can't agree that the hotel garden is spread over 6 acres of jungle as described in our itinerary but it was a very pleasant place to stay. We had a lovely room with a balcony and a verandah at the back looking across a field to a school, houses and the mountains. We were happy with the facilities, the quality of the meals and the friendliness of everyone with whom we came into contact. Some of the security guards came to see what we were doing with our telescope and we really enjoyed chatting to them and showing them how it worked. Whether or not they can remember the names of the birds is another matter!
One of the first birds to greet us was a Eurasian cuckoo. I haven't heard one in England since I was a little girl and was really excited to both see and hear it though I have to confess that I got fed up with hearing the dratted things! Anyway - great place to stay!

Dear Guest,
Thank you for your staggering comments about us. Definitely Nepal is one of the best place for bird watching and includes a total of 900 species of birds, of which 2 are endemic, 1 has been introduced by humans, and 74 are rare or accidental. 32 species are globally threatened. So, in Nepal, i hope there is still lot more for you to look forward regarding bird watching and other activities. Hopefully on your next visit to explore Nepal, you definitely would choose Park Village and from our side we will be looking forward welcoming you and your families with much more improved services.
Looking forward to welcome you on your next visit

Regards,
Rejin Regmi

We loved the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu and the tourist area of Thamel - for a couple of days anyway! What a relief to then move out to Park Village for complete quiet, rest and relaxation. The grounds are spacious, the pool refreshing and staff friendly and welcoming. the reception area toilets immaculate - 10 out of 10 :). We stayed in Nandalar House which was very comfortable and clean, very good value for money. This was a little piece of paradise to return to after 3 weeks of sometimes gruelling adventures in Nepal and Tibet. Would definitely recommend staying here, Thamel is only 15 - 20mins away by taxi - bit of a bumpy ride at the moment as they're upgrading the road so this will only improve.

I have traveled to many countries, but this trip was very special. I had been caring for the soldiers returning from the war. I went to Nepal to heal my heart. This is not a hotel, it is a sanctuary!! I felt so safe and cared for. I could tell that they work as a team and enjoy not only their duties but each other. The staff seemed to anticipate my needs and were great at making suggestions of where to go and providing information. They enjoyed conversation with me, I was treated as DIDI! I do not have any negative comments, This hotel is the best I have ever been in, and it was the staff who helped this wounded nurse leave beautiful Nepal with a smile and tears of joy! This statment also includes Manuri Sanctuary. I ask that this statement be shared with each staff member and if possible, they deserve a raise!!

Room Tip: The villas are very spacious and comfortable, as well as quiet.
