Our Everest Base Camp expedition used Hotel Norbu Linka practically as the place where team members assembled and upon return, rested up before flying home. The hotel is located close to good restaurants, expedition outfitting shops, and coffee shops where hikers congregate. Although well situated, the neighborhood was quiet and safe late at night. Staff members were extremely well trained and helpful in making our stay lots of fun. Hotel facilities were comfortable and the small restaurant had good food with great service. Electrical power was very sporadic during our visit but the problem appeared to be widespread in Kathmandu.
