“For Kathmandu, really great.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

Home to the world's biggest mountains, you might expect Nepal to be a mountain of rock climbers. Not so.

But this is a great small place that is like a nursery for rock climbing in Nepal, and the hub where people meet and plan trips to other places.

Plenty of top-roped climbs for a visitor passing through, a couple of bouldering walls for a very good pump.

Cheap with plenty of hire gear so worth an afternoon if you are visiting KTM.

“Top ropes and bouldering”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

It's a great little climbing wall. French grades 5a- 8a on top rope (when I went in December and January 2014) on two walls. One wall is vertical and the other is slightly overhanging by about 15 degrees all the way up. Walls are 50 ft high.
The food in the cafe is pretty good too.

n.b. I'v given this an 'excellent' rating as it is in Thamel, Nepal. If it was in the UK I would rate it differently.

“Just an okay experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

The staffs and guides were very friendly and helpful. Harness was good enough to ensure your safety. Despite all these I didn't have a good experience. Rock climbing didn't give me a real like experience.

“Great vibe and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We thought we would check this place out since our hotel was close. Turns out we showed up ten minutes before their monthly competition! We decided to stay and watch the bouldering since we had time on our hands. What a great place to end up for the afternoon. The staff and regulars were interesting and extremely friendly. My boyfriend entered the competition for 100RS and had a great time. There was music, drinks from the cafe and everyone was extremely supportive. Thanks again for the hospitality and giving us a break from typical Thamel.
