“Kali Temple”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2012

This is one which I like the most. It is not for the People having heart problems. They do Scarification of goat, Hen and other animals to the Holy Kali Goddess. Every Saturday devotee of Goddess Kali cut the head of animals and birds and offers her blood of animals and head of animals. It is really cultural sock for western people.

“A temple in the countryside!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2012

This temple is another must visit place if you are wishing to see how animals are sacrificed in Nepal. Situated a bit far from the main town of Kathmandu but really worth a visit if you are wishing to see how Nepali Hindu people are religiously devoted and how animals are sacrificed. I liked everything except the cruel sacrifice of those innocent animals. It's truly natural, green and pollution free place.

“Good place to visit but not don't like scarifying animals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2012

Last visit in Nepal we visited Dakshin Kali temple which was organized by Nature House treks and expedition. The temple site was located middle of forest in a small gorge. Many devotee people on a long queue for waiting their turn to get in to the temple. I saw lots of people were offering flower and fruits to deity but I did no like they were offering goat and chicken at the temple.
