Peak point hotel was great and in an easy to find, convienient location. The rooms were a good size, very clean, comfy beds, had HOT water and WIFI.
The staff were welcoming and very helpful. They Organised buses, tours and accommodation in Pokhara for us.
I Highly recommended this hotel to singles, friends, families and groups!

we spent in peak point hotel one week, perheaps for people used to stay in a 5 satrs hotel, this one is not what they look for, but, we found something that 5 stars hotels don't present, it's kindness, help, facilitation, and assistance for whatever you ask, the organisation for many activities is perfect, and when i say perfect i don't exagerate.
so if i come back to nepal, be sure, peak point hotel will be my accomodation, thx for all the staff, i really felt in a family ambiance

I came to Peak Point Hotel with my budget accommodation expectations and international-mindedness. I was pleasantly surprised with how attentive and welcoming the staff were. We had an itinerary (Pokhara, Chitwan, Nagarkot) that was semi-planned and Brish took care of all the details taking into consideration our budget and requests for accessibility (we had a friend in our group with mobility impairments). The location is good for those who want to be in the central hub and the rooms were basic for a good night's rest. There was always hot water for a shower despite the intermittent electrical supply. I have warm thoughts of Nepal and the Nepalese and this in part has to do with the hospitality we received at this hotel.

We thank you for sharing about your stay at Peak Point Hotel and we are glad that you had enjoyed your stay with us.

We recognize that our staff is our greatest asset and the management had put in great effort to develop them. We will continue to strive to deliver great service to our guest.

Our location is also one reason why our valued guests choose to stay with us as we are right in Thamel, our tourist hub, but away from the hustle and bustle of our urban living. Restaurants, shops and the local market are just round the corner from where we are.

We thank you for making Peak Point your choice and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

I stayed 5 hotels during my trip to Nepal. But Peak Point was the cheapest with some features that were not available in others hotel. Like large clean room, private bath and rest room, private large balcony, large LCD tv, different type of electric point for charging mobile and laptop. For sight scene visit of Kathmandu valley I missed break fast time but they offered me break fast after regular timing was over. WIFI worked 24 hours even with power backup. I wish soon they'll provide more features with the reasonable rate.

Room Tip: I stayed in Road facing room and I found it great. So would like to suggest that one.

Dear Setya Budianto,

Thank you for taking your valuable time to write this review and sharing your personal opinion of Peak Point with us.

It is of paramount importance to us that every guest departs our hotel with fond memories of our warm Nepalese hospitality and service. This could only be achieved by our frontline team being service oriented to upkeep our service standard. Renovation and upgrading of facilities in the hotel premise is an ongoing process here in Peak Point Hotel to meet customer’s expectation. Our recent renovation of our kitchen and breakfast area in early Feb 2013 is proof of our promise to further improve guests’ experience with us.

Our team had built a strong service culture to enhance the stay of our guest and will continue to build on this so that our guest can enjoy a comfortable stay. In this aspect, the premise of the hotel are kept clean and tidy everyday by our team of dedicated Nepali speaking female housekeepers who does their job diligently from morning till late afternoon with a lunch break in between.
From your reviews of hotels in Kathmandu on tripAdvisor recently in Jan 2013, and your most recent review in Mar 2013 of Peak Point Hotel, my attention was drawn to the fact that besides staying at Peak Point Hotel (a small budget hotel charging budget rates) in Jan 2013, you were also staying in 2 other hotels in Kathmandu in Dec 2012 and Jan 2013.
Actually, I am doubtful whether you did stay in Peak Point Hotel as I am unable to trace your name in my records of having stayed in my small, clean and family oriented budget hotel which only charge budget rates.

From your reviews of the other 2 hotels, you have written in Jan 2013, that the other 2 hotels was value for money with all good things that came with it. I believe you should know that, you have paid more than double the amount at the other 2 hotels for a night’s stay as compared to what you would be paying here in Peak Point Hotel(that is, if you have really stayed).
I also wondered, if, by your perceived standard and expectations, these 2 other hotels are good, why shift and choose to stay at Peak Point and subject yourself to unhappiness staying at Peak Point Hotel, when you are supposed to be happy on a holiday. According to you in your review, you were staying in a deluxe room with all facilities available. But, you have described the room you have stayed in as looking old, dull and in need of renovation.

Different people have different levels of perception and expectation, you cannot compare other higher range of hotels with budget hotels, so to speak, if you have travelled extensively, you will know what I mean. Considering your high level of expectations of a hotel room, you should have maintained your standard, pay more, and continued to stay at those 2 other higher range of hotels and enjoy all good things that come with it, should there be any cause for dissatisfaction then?
Anyway hope you had enjoyed your holiday in my beautiful country and had gone home with many positive happy memories of Nepal.

Last, but not least, we do appreciate constructive feedbacks from genuine guest to improve and up our service to serve our future guests better and we are still learning and improving based on our guest’s feedbacks.

Stayed at Hotel Peak Point over the new year. The boss, Sujan, and the hotel staff were warm and accomodating and went above and beyond the call of duty to make my stay a home away from home.
The hotel is also strategically located at Thamel, with shopping and eateries just a stone's throw away.
Highly recommended and value for money.

I already stayed twice there and scheduled another one by next week. Its just like visiting a friend's house in a different country.

Believe me! You will not be treated as just guest and after the stay you will not feel like you are one. Sujan, The manager will be always happy to help you with your requirements. Whatever your needs are, just drop him a mail to get a genuine info about the list of places you wish to visit and convenient travel options in Nepal. I always enjoyed the company of Bragspathi who coordinates with the tourists with great assertiveness.

A genuine budget hotel for all kind of travelers.
