“Interesting, busy and Ancient”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 6, 2014

There is a lot going on at Swayambhunath. Beautiful old architecture. Lots of monkeys to laugh at. A small Buddhist monastery and a fantastic single stone sculpture. Amaxing 365 step staircase.

“aka "Monkey Temple"!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2014

A highlight of the city tour, for sure! Get past the monkeys and you'll see a cool Stupa and lots of surrounding memorials and shrines! It was my 2nd day in Kathmandu and it was eye candy. So much to look at, and learn! We had a great city guide through Himalayan Glacier Trekking and he brought it all to life!

“Must visit.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2014

The view is great. It is an experience like no other.
It is peaceful and it is a place highly revered.
It can also be seen from the 9 storeyed house.

Make sure you ask for the wishing will and throw in a coin!
