“Nepal culture at its best”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Absolutely awe-inspiring, beautiful landmark you can't miss.
Out of all the stupas in Nepal, I'd say if you can only see one, this should be it.

“A large stupa hemmed in between small stores”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

A great place to observe worshippers walk around the and run the prayer wheels. Park yourself with a 200 mm zoom and you're guaranteed great shots. A 14-24 lens works well here too.

“Big Stupa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

This is a really big stupa with a thriving Tibetan community around it. There are excellent shops selling a range of clothing, artefacts and jewellery. The area is quite clean and well ordered with all pilgrims circling one way. There is a small admission charge, well worth it. We came here at around 3 p.m. We were welcomed by friendly monks, were given tea and soup and listened to their afternoon prayers.

“Majestically stunning”

Each place of worship/beliefs has it own beauty, and this is 1 place which I really felt it has the overwhelming beauty, and wished I would have time to see it at night as well!

“great stupa”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

my request to the management of TripAdvisor.............Please change the name from Bodnath to Boudhanath Stupa which is locally and officially recognized name. History might be anything but now it is known as "Boudhanath Stupa'. Name must be correct...what do you say?
