I don't know whether or not you could single out Yangling as being "Tibetan" because they offer the same, simple menu as 90% of the restaurants in Kathmandu. However, I've been here numerous times and it is always delicious.
I usually order the thentuk and/or momos as I have discovered these are usually tasty. It is the only restaurant that I know of in Kathmandu that offers thentuk. I highly recommend that you try it. Unlike some other reviewers, I would not say that these are the best momos in town. They are still good though.
Last night, however, I was disappointed because the juices inside my pork momos kept trickling out over my hands when I bit into them. This was really awkward.
The manager always smiles at me and tells me Namaste when I leave. He needs to teach his server to smile a bit more often though.
Yangling is a nice little hangout especially for a backpacker on a budget since you can eat and go for less than $3.
