“Handy location in Thamel shopping discrict”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012

Be sure to sum up your bill yourself - they had the correct unit prices and items, but added additional dollars to our bill. I had the Nepali fixed meal for lunch and it was really very good. Others people's food was ok - nothing particularly stood out. We had a very late lunch and they weren't particularly interested in serving us. It is a handy location if you're shopping in the Thamel area.

“Great escape in Thamel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

The restaurant was recommended to us. We stopped while power shopping in Thamel. What a great break! We sat on the rooftop where it was quiet and cool. The staff was attentive and the curry was wonderful.

“Check your bill!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Here's a place surfing on its past reputation. For reasons too dull to explain, I ended up eating here twice in the last month. The food is below average British curry house fare, but the shocker came with the bill. On both occasions the staff had added NPR700 or 800 to the bill, then added the various Nepali taxes on top of that. When challenged they just grinned and adjusted the total, as though it was perfectly reasonable to cheat customers and well done for spotting it. I can think of ten better restaurants less than five minutes walk from the Third Eye. Where they don't rip you off.
