“Best experience in Kathmandu”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

Unfortunately my travel agent did not book me a suit at Dwarika's, the hotel looked very nice. I went for dinner at the famous Krisharpan restaurant and had a great time. The restaurant offers two options for dinner, depending on the number of plates you will get. I was told to order the option with less food and it was a lot of food. You must book in advance and when you get to the restaurant there is a table for you with a printed menu with your name on it, each plate comes with an explanation of the ingredients and the waiter was very nice and could explain very well about the food.

“What a place!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2014

I was blown away first by the Dwarka hotel layout and then by the Krishnarpan restaurant... it was a winner from the moment we stepped foot into the forecourt. Once we were done gaping with the hotels' layout we went into its famous restaurant...As ethnic restaurants go its the best in class. Totally packed on a thursday night -- Service was swift and efficient with a lot of smiles. Seating is floor level as well as table. We opted for floor which after a 6-course meal did not seem like such a good idea. From the beginning to the end the whole experience was one I will cherish and one day come back for another round!!

“Excellent service & ambience! Pity about the food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2014

We visited this restaurant on our last night in Kathmandu to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel it's located in was amazing and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. The service was excellent and ambience excellent too. Only thing was for a Friday night the restaurant was pretty empty ...

We went for the 9 course menu and we could not finish our food, it was simply too much, even for my husband who is a really big eater! The food however was ok, I was expecting a lot more given the price we paid. It was pretty basic and some dishes even lacked flavour! I had better traditional food during my trek in some cases!!!

All in all a good experience. What was a really nice touch was the farewell present we got, a good luck charm made of brick - which was really nice.

Would recommend for the experience and variety of food and more so for the ambience and service. Pretty pricey for what was an average meal in terms of taste!

“Wonderful Nepali Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

İ have been to many restaurants around the world but this is simply one of the best Ethnic Restaurants that i have been to.İ went there with a group of friends. We had a 6 course dinner which is more than enough variety. You have to take your shoes off when entering the restaurant. The food was delicious. You can taste different varities from Nepalese cuisine. within that 6 course. The waiters are all dressed in traditional Nepali costumes. The restaurant itself has a nice traditional decor along with the rest of the hotel where this retaurant is placed. What impressed us most is that our names were printed on the menu something i haven't seen elsewhere. We most enjoyed our visit there.Although it may be considered as an expensive restaurant by Nepali standards but it is still much cheaper when compared to a similarly categorized restaurant in Europe or USA.İt is well worth the money.

“Charming immersion into Nepalese culture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2014

The lovely Dwarika's Hotel provides a majestic backdrop for the pageantry of the Krishnarpan dining experience. Seated low to the floor, my family and I (all ten of us, including children!) reveled in the custom to offer some of our food to the gods, and enjoyed a nine-course journey into the delights of Nepalese cuisine. From the water buffalo to the momos to the surprisingly refreshing semolina sweets, we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The gift as you leave along with keepsake menu is a wonderful way to have a tangible memory of the experience.
