“Authentic Nepalise food and extraordinary experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Dwarika means 'window', with woodcarving windows with motives and artworks. The hotel itself represents with exterior and interiors in line with its name.

The restaurant is very exclusive as well as expensive one. It worth the money and experience! Right from the entrance, you will get a different treatment and care. Special you will be surprise to see a manue of your own. Each guest receives a menue of their own. They serve three to five course meal and each items are served in different dishes and plate. Serving dishes are made of brass or clay. At the end of each course, you will be surprised to know, how many dishes and plates you have used for one meal! The foods are really very good and prepared with their speciality.

This was my third time visit to this restaurant.

“Amazing hotel, very helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2014

Dwarika is truly a heritage boutique hotel. Especially if u want to relax in Kathmandu before heading to other cities. You can practically spend the day by the pool or strolling the gardens. Only downside is that it's bit far from city center and taxis charge fixed rate regardless of where u want to go. But it's worth it

“How you imagine the finest Kathmandu dining experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

Fantastic! A 16 course (yes, 16) authentic Nepalese dinner in a beautiful hotel oasis. The workmanship and tranquility in the midst of Kathmandu’s city chaos was a great respite. The food and attention to detail through the dinner was first class. Having drinks on the patio within the hotels grounds but outside the restaurant was great. This is a highly recommended activity.

“most enjoyable experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2014

The setting of the restaurant in this historic hotel is a must to visit when in Kathmandu. Before you dine take a stroll and experience the environment. I plan to investigate staying here next time in Kathmandu.

The food and the service in the restaurant were of a high standard. The menu is extensive with so many temptations to choose from.

A most memorable occassion

“Overpriced buffet”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2014

The Friday night bbq buffet really deteriorated over the years. Some of the side dishes (particulary the Nepali ones) are tasty, but the bbq items are substandard. The chicken kebab had undercooked pieces. The pork kebab was dry and overdone. The desert table has very limited selection. The setting outside is nice but by itself is not worth the price. Not worth the trip unless you stay in the hotel and don't want to venture out.
