“Fushion restaurant & breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

Very nice to taste Nepali cuisine. Try the tomme jack cheese, apparently made by a french farm around, yammy!
The only cons the wine selection, not really appropriate for wine pairing with spicy food. We would have prefered a wide selection of red wine...
We still recommend the place for any time of the day!
The outdoor seating is very nice.

“Very good Krishna Arpan Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Our group of 5 people had welcome dinner at the Krishna Apran restaurant at Dwarika's. Amazing setting. We enjoyed the cultural shows and the hotel environments. The 6 course food was just more than sufficient.
It is the best experience of food in any authentic restaurant. The price seems a bit higher but he service was just the Excellent.

“Mako's Japanese Restaurant @ Dwarikas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

Lovely Japanese Restaurant, Awesome food at Mako's @ Dwarika's Hotel
Didn't stay at the hotel, but the restaurant was great. Nice ambience, good food, we then headed over to Fusion bar at the hotel itself.

“An exquisite hotel and truly one of a kind!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

We stayed at the Dwarika Hotel at the start and end of our Nepal trekking honeymoon. Of all the hotels in Kathmandu this one appeared to be the most interesting. Myself and my wife were truly bowled over. It combines both luxury and service of a high class hotel, but with a flair of true Nepali culture and artwork that leaves this busy city oasis a real treat to explore and stay in.
The staff are excpetionally helpful and courteous, and on hearing it was our honeymoon they sent round a Congratulations cake for us to our room! A really nice touch and very unexpected.

The whole place is dedicated to the restoration and upkeep of Nepal culture and artwork and it's history of renovation is worth discovering too. It amazed me that this place is tucked away on a busy street, yet the ambience, decor and experience once inside is a million miles away from anywhere.

On our return from trekking several days later one of the managers was excited to see us and upgraded our room to something really special where i took advantage of the delicious fruit while relaxing on a huge resting area (as big as the bed!). I felt like a king enjoying the sounds of Nepalese folk music drifting through the windows and the afternoon light streaming into the deflightful room.

All facilities were catered for and the in house traditonal Nepali restaurant was truly wonderful. great food and atmosphere, offering courses from 6 to 22 (yes....22!). Best we could manage was 9 and I'm still feeling full days later.

If you are looking for something truly one of a kind, with less of the corporate gloss and more of the traditional Nepalese culture and flavour, the book for a stay in the Dwarika hotel right now and look forward to the experience.
