“Good place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013 via mobile

Heard and had seen this place a lot passing the road. Went to try it, not disappointing, the guard greets you well, you go inside, the waiter greets you well, the environment, atmosphere fabulous. Food, well I tried the Grilled Chicken and I loved it, on the other half, my Gf tried Fish n Chips, not that good. I would definitely recommend this place. Do try this place, the menu is good.

“Great Food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

We love, love, love the food at Tamas! The burgers are really, really nice and the Lobster Termidor is to die for if you are craving seafood in Kathmandu (I also did not find about 900 rps too expensive for half a lobster). The lemon ice tea is the best we have ever had. The only little downside is that they basically have only outdoor seating and it is a little shady, too, so in winter it is quite cold.

“A little out of the way but worth it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2012

Away from bustling Thamel, and sitting next to an empty lot in Naxal, you'll find Tamas alongside it's more famous neighbor Mike's breakfast (and the Indigo gallery). I went there for lunch and was not disappointed. The soup, salad and main dish were delicious (and if you have any doubt that they're made fresh in the kitchen there's a big bay window that looks on to the kitchen from the street). The decor looks promising, with a large inner courtyard surrounded by various spaces with tables and chairs. I'd certainly return, perhaps a night to see the courtyard, fountain and the bar all lit up.
