On this trip we went to Botwsana, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Each was different and gave us a great perspective.
We stayed right on the Kafue River at the Lafupa Tented Camp (a Wilderness/OAT camp) which was excellent. It was so peaceful just sitting on our porch and watching the river.
We saw lots of elephants, hippos, puku, birds, ducks and lions. It was still the dry season so it was easy for our guides to find them.
The flys are an annoyance so you need to spray yourself and wear the proper clothes. No danger, just annoying.
We had a chance for some river viewing which gave us hippos up close.
