Place looks good. But we had lot of problem with the showers, as they were of weird design.
Otherwise the place is clean, centrally located. Food was good. Liked the breakfast.Place had a big gym , and pool but didnt get time to use them.

In all the times i have visited Kampala since 2008 I have stayed at the Kabira Country Club. My first impressions then were relatively positive since I had limited travelled experience in East Africa and some of these experiences were not great...in terms of hotels.

The Kabira is a lovely hotel with good gym facilities and nice restaurant and awesome 30m swimming pool.

What I have witness however is that over the years there seems to be a slow decline in the overall impression I have of the hotel. While the hotel is still great compared to others I have been in little things start to catch your attention...like basins that don't drain, showers that don't work, poor or non-existent water pressure and wireless internet that does not work in the rooms and only at the bar (I know that wireless internet can be quite tempermental in Kampala).

Nevertheless It still is a good hotel.

From the outside, not to bad, nice gym, pool,
However, bar and restaurant very dark at night, not enough light, can barely see what you are eating.
Noisy, if you get the rooms on street & generator side.
No cctv cameras in passages, no electronic keylocks on doors. Expensive electronic equipment stolen from room whilst at supper. Was out of the room for 1 1/2 hours.
Hotel has not bothered to return emails nor calls in regards to the matter.
Hotel owners park all their personal cars out in front, Bentley convertibles, Range rovers, Mustangs, Mercs, a very nice collection, all family run with personalised registrations, SR, SR 1,JR, JR 1 etc etc,
Will never stay there again.
