I stayed at Mamba Point for a couple of days. it was recommended to me by the staff at Emin Pasha hotel, who are just across the street and were fully booked. My room was clean, the service was efficient, and the price was reasonable. I really can't complain. So what was missing? It was a bit sterile and lacking in character. When I moved back across to Emin Pasha the difference was like night and day. It may be across the street, but it felt like across the world. I would recommend Mamba Point if you just need a place to lay your head, but if you want a little more, some ambience, great views, a good 'vibe' and outstanding service, I would first book Pasha across the street. As a second option, Mamba Point is a fine alternative.

I'm afraid, dear traveller, that you are confusing tranquillity and peacefulness with something that you define as lack of character.
In fact, the true character of our establishment is represented by those very factors that you denigrate and that instead make our guesthouse so appealing to many other business and tourism travellers.
I'd suggest that, instead of writing a demeaning review on our establishment, you should have written a nice review on that excellent hotel which is the Emin Pasha, given that what they offered you is exactly what you were/are looking for when you travel, as opposed to what other guests are looking for when they book with us.
Kind regards,
Management
