“A mixed Experience”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2012

The place really looked good even though they were still doing some finishing on some parts since they were(tombs) burnt down. There should be tight security to take care of such places, because this is our heritage!

“Nothing Like It, A Must See”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2012

Just to know that I was at the actual court of an African King was quite exciting. As a woman, I was welcomed with a shawl to tie on my waist. See, they don't allow women wearing trousers or short skirts into the compound as it is deemed indecent. That aside, our guide did a brilliant job introducing us to Baganda kinship, taking us on a tour of the different huts in the compound and explaining the roles of the different wives that the Kabaka had. Behind the court lies the tombs of the royal family. It was a fantastic experience.

“A bit of Buganda history”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

The tour was was good, although there is no signs of any major work going on to renovate the burnt palace. We got a bit of Buganda history which living in Kampala, everyone should know.
