“Quite Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

I spent just one night here, and rather enjoyed it. The rooms are large, clean, and quiet. I found the staff helpful. The pool and outdoor bar area was enjoyable. The buffet dinner was average. It's a good location equidistant between Entebbe and Kampala. It's about 40min to Entebbe airport and about the same to the middle of Kampala. If you are taking a smaller airline or charter from Kajjansi airstrip, it's only 5min away.

The location is great! Right in the middle of a rural setting. Decor very nice and the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
However the staff in the ladies section of the gym/ sauna and steam were rude to the point of harassing clients.
Over the weekends the gym closes at 9pm so the staff had long faces when we checked in at 8:45pm and almost ran us out of there at 8:58pm!
For a hotel that has a lot of conferences they should appreciate the fact that guests need to unwind.
The hotel should also be sensitive to guests that do not eat pork which was not served separately like the vegetarian dishes and seemed to be the main grilled dish at all meals!
The staff in the dining hall were very good.

Room Tip: The hotel is spread over a wide acreage so you may want a room nearer to the spa and reception.

Stayed for two nights, the location is a good 45 minute drive away from the airport, with the last section particularly bumpy! arrival - mixed bag, receptionist not welcoming, does not explain the facilities of the hotel, refuses to change our dollars. Rooms, good view, clean, comfortable.
food and beverage experience, good sandwiches, they have a Asian/Fusion Restaurant - which looks the part and has a great menu. breakfast - nothing to rave about, drinks selection is comprehensive, however they do not have a cocktail menu! also the service lacks professionalism. big disappointment was the beds - did not sleep, they are stone hard, worse yet - the pillows are hard as a rock as well. asked them to change them, no luck, said they would but no one turned up.
all in all beautiful surroundings but 2 nights was more than enough.

First off one has to appreciate this hidden location. Its located on the way to Entebbe (Airport) and would normally not be an in your face hotel. Its decor and design is very tastefully done which immediately catches your attention. We went for a dinner and ended up staying the night. That's when you realize how much this hotel is lacking. The check in took 45 mins where we were just kept waiting. An hour after giving our credit card info, the receptionist called us again to ask for the number despite having it on file already!!! The main restaurant has very good food however the waiters are just not bothered. They stand there gossiping and when you ask for a menu they treat as if they're doing you a favor. That being said, there's a supervisor who immediately tried to help us out. We ordered room service which took 20 mins but the next day's lunch took over an hour, after which point we decided just to leave the hotel and not stay any longer. The power went off 4 times during our stay in the room!!!

At first you wonder what you have gotten yourself into with the terrible road taking you into the resort. The road in itself is hardly what you would call a road and you really begin to wonder if this is any sign of what to expect once you arrive at the hotel...(did you make a drastic mistake in your choice?). Believe me, once you arrive at the main entrance of the resort your thoughts of a bad decision quickly begin to fade and upon reaching the main lobby you have forgotten about the bad road that brought you here. The entire resort is absolutely beautiful!!! The grounds are well maintained and groomed to perfection. The rooms are spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable. You are greeted at reception with open arms and a genuine welcome...friendly smiles that give you a real sense that they care that you are there.

The restaurant serves a wonderful buffet breakfast with a huge variety of choices that start the day out right. Lunches and dinners are no exception...the menus are large and the food is exceptional. Service in the restaurant is fantastic...fast and friendly with a caring sense to please all customers.

I highly recommend this hotel/resort if you want a place to stay that is peaceful, quite and outside of the busy streets of Kampala. A fantastic place to just rest and relax!!! Take advantage of the beautiful pool, spa and other vast amenities this resort offers....you'll not regret your stay!!!

I stayed here for two nights and could gladly stay there for some more. The rooms are spacious and lovely decorated with its own balcony. Everything is clean and well maintained.
The food is lovely and the staff is friendly and are doing their outmost to make your stay memorable. A plus is the huge pool.
The only problem is to get there, it is located between Entebbe and Kampala and the last five km are terrible. Lots of potholes and I wouldn't call it a road. But the hotel is worth the bumpiness.
There is malaria in the area so use protection and you will be fine.

We did not actually stay in this hotel, but only used the facilities prior boarding our midnight flight from Entebbe.
Our time was spent mainly around the pool and eating in the restaurant.
Facilities and quality was excellent.
