“Harkins back to the days of old”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

There is something lovely about the almost war worn look of the Mogran. And by war, I'm talking about the days of Kirschner and the Great Mahdi of the 19th century.
As the city of Khartoum gentrifies, the Mogran still has the feel of the old days. it's worth an afternoon to simply relax, close your eyes and listen to the cannons of old.

“Not much to see”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2012

This part of Khartoum does have pavements so you can wonder along the nile. Sadly there is not much to do other than look at the nile. While it is one of the great rivers of the world, to view it is essentially a big muddy stretch of slow moving water. The best place vantage point is at the top of the Burj / Corinthia as you get a nice air conditioned view of the confluence. It's interesting to see, but it doesn't really entertain for long.

“Must see.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012 via mobile

Al Mogran is the place when the Blue Nile and White Nile join to form the great Nile river.

Best view, either from Omdurman bridge (nice place for photographers) or from Rickshaw / Burj Al Fateh 18th floor restaurant.
