I'll admit it - Bourbon is the place that I go (and that many expats go!) when I want to pretend that I'm not in Rwanda for a while. It's modeled after Western chain coffeeshops like Starbucks or Caribou - think white chocolate mochas, free wireless, and gleaming display cases of pastries next to the cash registers - and overall it's a very nice place to meet a friend for coffee or do work for an afternoon. They get points for having a fairly thorough menu as well, although I was disappointed to ask for wheat bread on my sandwich, be reassured that the kitchen had said type of bread...and then be served a sandwich on dry white bread. Otherwise, though, a nice experience.
