As a Canuck living abroad in Africa for three months, Bourbon Coffee Shop hit the spot and provided a little taste of home and comfort for me. I have been to both the UTC and MTN Centre location, and either one of these two locations is a great spot for coffee, a quick bite to eat, and to catch up on emails using their free wifi (except during the busy lunch hour). My cafe au lait was piping hot, fresh, and brought promptly to my table, and my Salad Africana was filling, safe to eat and tasty. The prices are higher than other cafes, but you are paying for high quality, good service and a nice ambiance. There is lovely outdoor seating at both cafes, and their menu of drinks (hot and iced) and food is very extensive, making it a good place to eat if you have picky eaters or a wide variety of taste palates. I can't wait for my next visit!
Tip: If you don't like a lot of dressing on your salad, ask for dressing on the side because they pour it pretty heavy here.
